"Me? I'm just a foot soldier under the Underworld King." Ren shrugged, shifting the focus back to Gui Gu. "You're the one who orchestrated the entire conflict between Ming Wang and the Snow Queen, aren't you? All just to let them exhaust each other so you could swoop in and reap the rewards."
Clap, clap, clap!
Gui Gu applauded slowly, a sneer on his face. "Not bad. You see things much more clearly than those two idiots. But tell me, what does it matter now?"
He had just used his Energy Lock to scan Ren's power. At 4.2 Black Holes, Ren was formidable, but against Gui Gu's own 6.0 Black Holes, the gap was still immense. Ren was no longer a threat in his eyes.
Sensing total victory, Gui Gu dropped his facade entirely and began hurling insults at the two rulers.
"You two fools! Especially you, Ming Wang! Or should I say, 'Underworld Dog'! If you hadn't surrendered and let yourself be sealed ten thousand years ago, my plan would have succeeded back then!"
"And you, Snow Queen! Always prattling on about 'Love, Love, Love'! Do you even know what love is?"
Ren nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Snow Queen, your system is just feudalism with a smile. It's slightly better than Ming Wang's 'Law of the Jungle,' but it's nowhere near true 'Universal Love.'"
Both the Snow Queen and Ming Wang turned their gazes toward Ren. They hadn't expected this subordinate to hold both of their ideologies in such low regard.
Temporarily ignoring the treacherous Gui Gu, Ming Wang addressed Ren: "Since you look down on my methods, tell me—what method do you have to make these parallel universes coexist in peace?"
"Peaceful coexistence? Impossible," Ren laughed. "Regardless of the reason, peace is never a permanent state."
"You tell us we are wrong, yet you offer no solution of your own," the Snow Queen added coldly.
"Hey, hey, don't double-team me all of a sudden! I'm just giving a little critique; I never said I had a better way!" Ren said, feeling exasperated. Why were these two suddenly ganging up on him?
However, before Gui Gu could finish his "villain speech" and move to kill Lion King, another flash of white light tore through the air. Hu Linfei and the others had returned once more!
This time, Hu Linfei had brought back Feng Ying, Feng Yao's sister. This successfully convinced the "War God" Feng Yao to snap out of his delusion and join the Super Ultra Team as an honorable warrior.
"Gui Gu, this time there's no one left to die for you!" Hu Linfei sneered.
Feng Yao's face darkened. He had been the one dying to protect Gui Gu the whole time—he'd even nearly killed his own sister for the man. Well, he had killed her once; the one standing there now was the version saved by Hu Linfei from the past.
As the final battle prepared to ignite, Ren retreated to a safe distance, bringing the weakened Ming Wang and Snow Queen with him to watch the show.
"Aren't you going to help them?" the Snow Queen asked, frowning.
"No need. Hu Linfei and the others are approaching three Black Holes each. Once they combine into the Super Ultra God, their combined Energy can hit 20 Black Holes. Why would they need my help?"
The Snow Queen considered this and realized Ren had a point. She settled in, but then looked at Ren with a strange curiosity. "Looking at your Super Ultra form, you should be a descendant of the Golden Crow Tribe. Why did you join the Underworld camp?"
"Because Lion King saved me," Ren said nonchalantly. "Back when the White Tiger and Wolf Tribe forces clashed, Lion King was the one who gave me a meal. So, I joined the Wolf Tribe."
"The White Tiger Tribe could have fed you too!"
"Forget it. You were played like a fiddle by a guy like Gui Gu. I don't want to work for a boss like that."
As they spoke, Ren looked up at the sky. The Cloud Bat Legion, already in their Super Ultra forms, arrived in a dark swarm.
"It's the Cloud Bat Legion!"
"Hahaha! It must be Ye Xiaozi coming to repay the favor! We've definitely won now!" Miao Tiaojun shouted joyfully. If he had a bottle of champagne, he would have popped it right then and there.
"Lord Ghost King! The Cloud Bat Legion is here to assist you!"
"???"
Hearing Ye Xiaozi's voice, the Super Ultra Team was suddenly filled with question marks.
