The dizziness hit Milo hard and fast, the room tilting sideways just as Salvatore pulled back to look at him again.
"Milo?" Salvatore's voice sharpened instantly, catching him by the shoulders as Milo swayed.
"I'm okay," Milo tried, though his voice came out thin and unconvincing, his skin already damp with a cold sweat that hadn't been there minutes before.
"You're not okay," Salvatore said, pressing the back of his hand against Milo's forehead, and his jaw tightened at what he found there. "You're burning up."
"Don't worry..." Milo swallowed, his head throbbing. "It happens sometimes. I'll be fine by morning."
Salvatore realized it. It had happened many times now. Milo always got sick after he gave him information. He was afraid that was the case.
"Is it because you use your ability?" asked Salvatore.
