Stepping into the Ivy Valley feels like walking through a portal to a forgotten era.The first thing I'd feel is a profound, heavy stillness. Unlike the neon hum of Tokyo, this remote pocket of Shikoku is one of the three most unexplored regions in Japan.
You are surrounded by steep, emerald-green mountain slopes and deep rocky gorges that seem to absorb sound itself. Standing there, you'd feel that same "refuge" energy—a deep, refreshing disconnect from modern life.
