The next morning:
Jay was panicking—
pacing back and forth like the world was burning down in one.
Keifer came down seeing her worried expression—
"Jay are you ok" he asked concerned visible in his eyes.
Jay didn't stop pacing—
"no"
The answer was quick.
He walked towards her stopped her from pacing held her hand and guided her towards the sofa.
" What's wrong?"
" Jace and Jayden are coming back this is not good"
" They are Oliver's brothers right"
"yeah.... We have to leave I'm calling for my helicopter"
Keifer was disappointed. But he hid it Jay noticed. She was in middle of a call.
Jay: I'll call you later.
She cut the call mid—
"Sorry" She whispered voice almost inaudible
Keifer smiled. But.... it didn't reach him.
" I understand....Running the most powerful company isn't easy"
He looked....hurt
" The 3 clans and Blackwoods are holding a meeting about the engagement..."
Keifer's eye widened panicked.
" Jay.....what will happen if you don't marry him?"
She exhaled deep, heavy—
" My place will be revoked as head" She told in one breathe.
" I don't want you to lose it because of me...."
Keifer's voice Shaked when he said that.
Jay smiled. It carried—warmth.
She cupped his face forcing him to face her.
" They won't remove me because of that.... I never told them, That I broke up with Julian. The clans they hate dishonesty the most. So maybe I'll probably get a punishment my position won't be removed. So will Julian. Afterall, he is part of Reyes...."
Keifer felt something tighten his chest. Not in a bad way. But something soft and comforting. He loved it when Jay comforts him.
There foreheads touched.
They kissed slowly. Maybe he kissed her first or she did. It didn't matter because—
They loved each other.
They realised love is strong as long as they believed each other— honesty and loyalty— were important. And they don't plan on ever letting go of each other.
And the kiss—
It proved everything.
They broke apart.
The helicopter arrived.
The travel wasn't quite. Keifer was quite.
Too quite jay couldn't take the silence.
" Keifer..."
Keifer swallowed.
" Jay What will happen now?"
" I don't know but Julian is panicking too and he definitely doesn't want to see his elder brother" She whispered.
Keifer: Why does Oliver hate his brother so much?
"He.... just does. Let's just say his brother's ego is bigger than care. After Jace had a fight with Angelo he told us to break up. That angered Julian. The brothers fight were huge mess..."
Keifer: So how long has this been?
" 2 years"
Keifer: reminds me of my ego when percy had the accident....
Jay just listened.
Keifer: So where are we going?
"Monaco That's where the 2nd mansion is! That's where all the 3 clans are present for the current situation"
"oh.."
The helicopter landed.
The helicopter touches down, and Monaco's glamour spills out. The turquoise sea meets the sky, sleek yachts dot the harbour, and grand buildings rise against the hills. The sun shines bright, casting a warm glow on the luxurious buildings.
