Finn's heartbeat quickened instantly.
"And stop thinking such dirty things all the time," Orion said with an amused sigh, clearly noticing the expression on Finn's face. "I'm not about to hurt you or our baby by trying to sleep with you."
The way Orion said our baby again made Finn's chest tighten strangely. Warmth spread through him, uncomfortable yet oddly comforting at the same time.
Finn immediately looked away, refusing to let Orion notice the faint flush creeping across his face.
"Tch… who was even thinking about that?" Finn muttered stubbornly beneath his breath.
Orion merely chuckled softly.
Then, finally, he straightened up and slowly released Finn from his embrace.
"Rest for now," Orion said gently, his deep voice softer than usual. "I'll return tonight."
Without waiting for another reply, Orion turned around and walked out of the chamber.
