Jay's POV
I was having the best dream of my life. 😌✨
No school.
No Felix screaming.
No Endrix trying to accidentally kill people with science.
Just peace.
Beautiful peaceful peace.
I was literally about to eat pancakes in the dream too.
Then suddenly—
TAP.
I ignored it.
Dream pancakes were important.
TAP TAP.
Rude.
Very rude. 😐
I buried my face deeper into my pillow dramatically.
"Five more minutes."
Another tap came immediately.
Persistent little demon.
Then finally a voice spoke above me.
"It's already 1 PM."
Silence.
Wait.
I knew that voice.
My eyes slowly opened.
Still half asleep.
Hair covering my face.
Brain loading slowly like old WiFi.
Then I looked up properly.
And froze.
"…Aries?"
He stood beside my bed wearing a black hoodie and looking annoyingly refreshed for somebody who traveled internationally.
Meanwhile I probably looked like a dying potato. 😔
Aries raised an eyebrow.
"Good afternoon."
I stared at him for two whole seconds.
Then immediately attacked him.
"HOLD ON YOU'RE BACK?!" 😭✨
I practically launched myself off the bed and onto him before he could react.
Aries barely caught me properly.
"JAY."
"YOU DIDN'T TELL ME."
"You were sleeping."
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT."
I wrapped my arms around him dramatically while he sighed like an exhausted father of six.
I missed him so much. 😭
California had stolen him for days.
Days.
Do you know how hard it is surviving this family without your favorite sibling?
Tragic experience honestly.
Aries finally laughed quietly.
"You're crushing my lungs."
"Deserved."
Then I messed up his hair immediately.
Because sibling law required it. 😌
"Hey."
"Justice."
"You're literally acting like a child."
"You came back from another country. Let me be emotional."
He shook his head smiling slightly while trying to fix his hair.
Failed horribly.
Good. 💀
I finally jumped off him and crossed my arms dramatically.
"You should've called me before coming."
"I wanted to surprise you."
"Well congratulations."
"You screamed."
"I did not scream."
"You absolutely screamed."
Fake news honestly.
Maybe.
Whatever. 😐
I followed him out of my room while continuing to complain dramatically.
"When did you even land?"
"This morning."
"And you came here immediately?"
Aries glanced at me.
"Obviously."
Okay.
That actually made me happy.
Dangerously happy.
Which meant I had to annoy him again before emotions happened.
So naturally…
I reached up and messed up his hair AGAIN.
Aries looked genuinely offended now. "Jay."
"Your forehead looked too free."
"You're irritating."
"And yet lovable."
"That part is debatable."
We walked downstairs together while arguing like normal siblings.
The house already smelled like food.
Mom's cooking.
Which honestly healed people spiritually. 😌✨
Then suddenly Aries spoke again.
"Oh right."
I looked at him. "What?"
"There's someone downstairs who wants to see you."
I blinked.
"…Me?"
"Mm."
"Who?"
Aries looked weirdly calm suddenly.
Too calm.
Suspiciously calm.
"I'll let you see for yourself."
Excuse me???
That sounded illegal. 😐
Immediately my brain started creating possibilities:
school friend?
family friend?
somebody from racing?
Felix somehow invading my house?
Terrifying thought honestly.
I followed Aries downstairs carefully.
Still sleepy.
Still confused.
Still emotionally recovering from being awake before pancakes.
Then we entered the living room.
And the second I saw the person sitting there—
my expression dropped immediately.
Oh.
Absolutely not. 😃
End of Chapter 📖✨
☀️ "Some surprises make you happy.
Others make you want to walk back upstairs."
