The runaway Ottoman janissary heard the sound of horses' hooves behind him and as soon as he turned around his head for a second,he realized that he was being pursued by Simon's soldiers.He was scared and rode his horse as swiftly as he could.One of the pursuers,was Simon's archer.He shooted just one arrow towards the rushing Ottoman soldier.The soldier's body was pierced from back to heart and the arrow came out from his chest.He fell from his horse at once.As soon as he fell down,Simon's soldiers ran towards him.
-Where is Lala pasha's letter?Give us at once!-The archer told the dying Ottoman janissary.
-It is in my attire's right pocket.
As soon as he said this,he passed away.The Georgian archer found the letter.One of Simon's Iranian soldier asked him in Persian:
-Will you read it aloud?

-Your majesty,we have just accomplished our mission of following the Ottoman soldier who sneaked out from the fortress.I personally shot him on the way towards Tbilisi stronghold.He was going to deliver Lala pasha's letter to Mehmed pasha.Fortunately,I pierced his body and killed him with just one arrow.After he fell down from his horse,I took that letter out of his pocket.May I give it to you right away?
As soon as Simon heard the archer's narrative,Simon summoned him:
-Come in and give it to me at once!
The archer entered inside the tent and bent down close to Simon's bed.Then,he passed the letter to him.
-Here you are,your majesty!
Simon took the letter and read it carefully.
-Look at this cunning Lala pasha!He is going to personally lead the entire army towards Tbilisi and also bring thousands of soldiers and plenty of supplies to the Tbilisi garrison.We have to train every day for the upcoming battles.It is excellent,that you snatched this letter away from that janissary.If you hadn't done this,we wouldn't have been aware of Lala pasha's intentions at all!Well done!
-Must the 3 of us go and supervise the ways that Ottomans usually prefer in order to come here?
