Chapter 137 - Chapter 136: The Silver Threshold

Chapter 136: The Silver Threshold

The sea air near the Land of Whirlpools was no longer just salt and mist; it was thick with a tangible, hum-like frequency that made the hair on Tsunade's neck stand up.

Since the failed invasion by the Three-Nation Alliance a year ago, Uzushiogakure had become a black hole on the world map. It wasn't that the village was gone—it was that it had become absolute. The peace treaty signed by Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri hadn't just ended the siege; it had established a perimeter that no one dared to cross. While the Second Great Ninja War tore the mainland apart, the Whirlpool had effectively seceded from the "Shinobi World."

Tsunade Senju adjusted the pack on her shoulders, her eyes narrowed at the horizon. She wasn't standing in front of ruins. She was standing at the most sophisticated border crossing in history.

Ahead of her, the coastline didn't lead to a hidden forest or a cave. It led to Sector Alpha-1: The Gateway.

A massive pier of reinforced, carbon-steel alloy extended into the ocean, where several "Coup de Burst" cutters sat moored, their hulls shimmering with anti-sensor seals. A series of floating buoys, glowing with a soft blue light, marked the "Chakra Detection Zone."

"Identity confirmed. DNA Resonance: Senju-Uzumaki Lineage detected," a voice echoed, seemingly from the officer incharge.

Tsunade stepped onto the pier, and immediately, four shinobi materialized. They didn't wear the ragged flak jackets she was used to in the trenches of the Rain. Their gear was sleek—navy-blue kinetic weave with silver plating, and high-tech visors that glowed with a faint red hue.

"Lady Tsunade," the lead officer said, bowing slightly. He held a silver tablet that flickered with digital sealing scripts. "We have been expecting you. Your chakra signature was flagged the moment you crossed the twelve-mile maritime limit."

Tsunade blinked, stunned. "You've been tracking me for twelve miles? Not even the Leaf's barrier team has that kind of range."

"This is Uzushio the land of Uzumaki, and i can guarantee you no one is better in seal and sensor than Uzumaki in this Shinobi world. And now it doesn't even rely on traditional 'feelings,' My Lady," the officer replied calmly. "It relies on resonance. Please, step into the de-contamination and registry chamber. Since you are a Tier-0 blood relative, the waiting period for your entry visa has been waived by Lord Rimon himself."

Visa? De-contamination? Tsunade followed them, feeling more like a bewildered traveler than a legendary future Sannin.

The security was suffocatingly efficient. She was led through a corridor of white light where invisible seals scanned her for hidden scrolls, poisons, and tracking tags. In Konoha, a spy might slip through a gap in the guard rotation. Here, there were no rotations—only a constant, unblinking digital eye and professional officers that mapped every tenketsu in her body.

When the final pressurized door hissed open, Tsunade didn't see the rustic wooden houses of her last year memories.

She saw a Metropolis.

The city of Uzushio rose from the island like a mountain of glass and silver. Massive spires, connected by translucent "Chakra-Rails," pierced the clouds. The streets below weren't filled with mud or dust; they were paved in a smooth, dark composite that absorbed the sound of footsteps. In the black stone path large and small metal box are moving.

But it was the vibrancy that hit her.

Despite the global war, the markets were overflowing. She saw merchants from the Land of Earth and refugees from the Rain walking side-by-side. They weren't looking over their shoulders in fear. They were holding some paper which they call "Vortex Credits"—the new currency—and arguing over the price of "Attack Cuisine" spices.

"This is impossible," Tsunade whispered. "The war... the 2nd War is still happening. Kumo and Iwa are starving. How is there this much... life here?"

"Because we don't play by their rules anymore," a voice answered.

Tsunade turned. Walking toward her across the Central Plaza was Rimon Uzumaki.

At fourteen, he already carried the weight of a man who had outplayed the gods. He wore a simple black kimono with silver embroidery, his hands tucked into his sleeves. Behind him, two young "Probationary Officers," Arashi and Takeru, stood with their hands on the hilt of their naval sabres, their eyes sharp and disciplined.

"Welcome home, Tsunade-Ni," Rimon said, his voice carrying a calm and gentleness of family.

"Rimon," she breathed, looking at the glowing towers behind him. Thank god you are alright. I am sorry for everything. I was unable to come to help Uzushio when it's need most. And "The Leaf told me Uzushio was 'surviving.' They didn't tell me you were building a new world."

"The Leaf sees what they can afford to see. Didn't I told you it before Tsunade-Ni?" Rimon said, gesturing toward the Aegis Spire. "To them, we are a military anomaly. To us, we are the only nation that is actually moving forward. You'll find that here, 'Shinobi' is a profession, not a death sentence."

He looked at her tattered Leaf headband with a touch of pity.

"And don't feel guilt Konoha betrayed Uzushio but Senju didn't. Nawaki and other Senju came at the time of 3 nation invasion and help as too much."

"B...but I was unable to came and now even Nawaki died in mission some day ago. I don't know how should i face you and Arashi grandpa. That's why I was not came even after invasion end. I am sorry toward my cousin clan." Tsunade said with sorrow.

"Don't think that much,Tsunade-Ni come with me. You came in perfect time. Our new year festival is near and I have a surprise for you too." Rimon said with mysterious smile.

"You've come just in time. The First Anniversary Festival begins tomorrow. The city is secure, the borders are locked, and for the first time in your life, you can sleep without a kunai under your pillow."

The security at the gate was like iron, but the life inside was like silk.

"I came here to see if there was anything left to save," Tsunade said, her voice trembling.

Rimon smiled, and for a second, she saw a flash of that "One Piece" spirit he had inherited from his visitors—that wild, uncontrollable freedom.

"There's nothing to save here, Tsunade. But there's a lot to join. Come. We have a lot of people who are looking forward to seeing you."

As they walked toward the heart of the city, the "Silver Gate" hissed shut behind them, sealing the paradise away from a world that was still too broken to understand what Rimon Uzumaki had created.
