Later, Mor give 'Shutting up Skin' duty to some other Chosen, Cody.
Cody works as somewhat of a parttime jailer. He doesn't have a particular duty in here, just some miscellaneous tasks he does for minimum wage. He doesn't mind getting paid less as this is pretty safe way to live. High pay means risker jobs.
His blessing isn't much useful in combat. He can mold metal or different material (Not organic material) with his hands like clay. But that requires stamina and skills. So, it is quite a pain to use.
Also, talent is needed for it too.
What is the use of molding things like clay if he doesn't care about doing anything with it. He wishes he was creative or imaginative. But he really isn't.
If he was then he could've been a weaponsmith or an artist. That would've made his life so much easier. But instead, he is here doing the most annoying work imaginable.
Guarding wild Chosen.
It can be dangerous too. But he hasn't encountered any dangerous wild and terrifying Chosen…yet.
However, now he has. Captain Mor has given him a job of shutting up a Chosen that looks to be very dangerous.
But he doesn't complain or can't complain about the job as he has to listen to the big boss here. Or he might lose this whole job. Mor is a nice Chosen. However, everyone around him isn't.
If they smell incompetence, he would be kicked out for sure.
So, with a long sigh. He now has to do something about this Chosen who hasn't shut her mouth off and is still cursing vile words.
Cody sighs and wonders about what to do. Then something comes to mind.

The incident of blood valley has caused my capturing of wild Chosen. Not just for interrogation but also to get them as labor workers or slaves or just as fighters.
Wild are always killed and don't trust much in society that exists under the Guideless. But things change and they change comes fast. It might not be outright. However, this incident did result in shaking the entire world.
Sicksea region, Underworld, Tower of virtue and Phony heaven.
All four regions sensed the birth or awakening of Master of the knight. A Sinned soul that is completed and is much too dangerous. Like the Eight sinned souls that surrounds the world.
It is impossible to say if another one will join the eight of these godlike sinned souls. But if they let it loam freely. It might will be able to achieve that stage. Or just die trying.
Not just that, there can even be countless more sinned soul like the Master of the knight that are so close to completion. They might need a little push or few more numbers.
The danger is clear and Guideless Chosen can't keep humanity safe and protected all by themselves. They need new tactics or arrangements to the world safe. Or safe under their rules.
Sicksea region has an easy decision though. Capture all of these wild Chosen that are wounded or extremely hurt after the incident at the blood valley. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of these wild Chosen that are just begging to be picked up by Guideless so they can guide them in the right path. Relatively right, only right thing that exist in this world is power. So, power decides what is right.
It isn't like Guideless never have taken other Chosen for work or as slaves. Those who cooperate with guideless can live in society. But after Master of the knight, the number of wild Chosen that are captured is high.
However, these Chosen are disgusting, vile, violent and just impossible to talk with. Chosen are just monsters born with a human skin.
But there are always exceptions.
One of these Chosen is unlike any others. She is much too willing to cooperate. Her demeanor is normal. She answers every question without much resistance.
Only odd thing about her is that she acts like an insane person and thinks of herself as a cat.
"Meow, the world became much too scarier cause of that weird sinned soul. it was much too large. At first, I thought is that the mountainous soul? But no, it ate that sinned soul and devoured it. Can you believe it? It ate the whole mountain worth of souls. Meow"
She does a weird gesture with her hand. It is apparently to mimic a cat but the one who is question her doesn't understand how is this mimicking a cat. If this Chosen isn't crazy then what else?
This insane Chosen's name is Re-purr, an odd name. She probably named herself that cause she thought it was cool. Or it is some sort of pun, a pun that is really bad.
Her investigator sighs and finds this to be a waste of time. She is an ordinary human after all with a relatively short lifespan compared to a Chosen. Her name is Mini.
Humans have to find work too. They can't fight as well as a Chosen but they're useful in other things. Mini's currently job is question any cooperative Chosen.
She is protected by Guideless Chosen. But talking to wild Chosen is still quite terrifying, even if the Chosen has some screws loose. The words they say never make sense. They all are insane to her.
"Then you know what happened next? A big arrow or maybe it was more like a spear that appear out of nowhere and pierced my chest. It hurt so bad. I had killed my companions that had turned into Sinned soul and I was already tired. But now this happens. Why am I so unlucky? I am definitely going to die. But I didn't something happened and my body started heal. It was almost magical….and Meow."
Mini makes notes about the info and continue listening to the strange events that occurred to this Chosen.
"Then I don't know why. But I felt like going on a killing spree. I never do that… most of the time… I am a scaredy cat, get it? Because I am also a cat too. It would be more obvious if I had my cat ears with me. Well, it is not a big deal I can make another. Let me continue what happened next though…It is all so hazy though."
Mini scribbles few of the lines about Re-purr being a scaredy cat. Why did she even write that? She is losing her mind after listening to this Chosen's nonsense. Nothing makes sense. What do you mean you just felt like going on a killing spree? That isn't normal, right?
Re-purr continues.
"I don't remember much I was just going around using my flail in whatever way possible to kill whatever in my way. Honestly, I don't think I really killed anything. I was kind of far away, you know. I think I did kill some astra sinned soul. That was fun. Later when I reached that big sinned soul. it had only few away and disappeared. How unfortunate, or is it fortunate? I am not sure. But I did encounter a Chosen who had no skin. He looked so creepy but I did help him because I am a pushover."
Mini remembers seeing a skinless Chosen. He looked really creepy but he was cooperating with guideless so he wasn't a threat. She doesn't want to image ever seeing that Chosen attacking her. That would be a top-quality horror cinema.
Is Re-purr also talking about the same Chosen? It isn't really an important info but she did write it in her notes.
"…I don't know if it was also the same big arrow thinge. But it looked like the one that hurt me so maybe it was. I help him and then others too. So, here I am now. They promised me protection and by then my desire to go on a killing spree was all done. So, yeah. Here I am now."
She's been talking for an hour. It isn't her fault as Mini herself asked her to tell anything that happened in blood valley. She just didn't account that Re-purr would start talking about everything that happened in there.
Like how she encountered a very powerful Chosen with burnt scars and she overpowered everyone, or how she had to run from a river of boiling blood that she opened herself, or a jerk who was the meanest of any Chosen had ever encountered.
Mini isn't sure if this information is useful. But why not just write it down anyway. There is no harm in writing down these insane ramblings.
She sighs a little in her mind. It has been a long investigation. But at least it is now coming to an end.
"Thankyou for your cooperation. You will be given protection of guideless as long as you acknowledge them and help to save humanity. Your job and accommodation will be given to you soon. So, please wait until then."
Re-purr smiles and salutes.
"You…you don't have to do that."
She puts her hand down and replies.
"Oh, Meow."
Then after few minutes, Mini leaves. She would have to report everything she has gathered and then move her next room. Life sure just keeps going, there is no rest in sight.
Especially for a human, life just can't stop getting harder and harder. It also isn't a nice type of hard. Just a bad hard.
Re-purr watches her leaves and now she is all alone. She knows that if she keeps a good behavior. She can have a peaceful life. She has tired life in hell and it was tiring, scary and very painful. Now she wants to take a different approach. Something that might not involve dealing sinned souls. She would love to just live alone and be a helpless cat all her life.
As she is thinking all that, she does notices that the door isn't closed. Mini forget to shut the door up.
A sane person will just stay put and wait for someone to tell to do things. But she is a cat. She doesn't want just sit down and rest right now. So, she decides to go outside and take a look at the world that is ruled by Guideless Chosen.
