Being seated by the window, Evie was the only one who noticed him. As soon as the man realized she was looking back, he quickly looked away and slowed his vehicle down, allowing Westley's car to pull ahead.
Evie sighed nonchalantly.
Men these days are so shameless, she thought, or perhaps he's just a curious fan.
Deciding not to let it ruin her mood, she pushed the thought aside and relaxed for the remainder of the journey.
It was only after their car made a series of sharp turns—left, right, right, and then left, with the other vehicle mirroring every move- that Evie grew suspicious. Being naturally observant of her surroundings, she realized they were being followed and immediately told the driver to stop the vehicle.
Westley was naturally confused, as were the driver and Rosemary.
"What's the matter?" Westley questioned. "Why are you asking to stop so suddenly? Remember, you have an endorsement deal to attend to."
Rosemary and the driver both gave her a questioning look.
