The Shadow Beast gave a loud roar.
The whole temple shook.
Dust fell from the ceiling.
The stone floor started to crack.
Rahim held the three ancient keys tightly.
The Silver Key.
The Storm Key.
The Shadow Key.
All three keys began to glow together.
The Shadow Beast looked at the keys with its bright red eyes.
Then a deep voice filled the temple.
"The keys belong to me."
Karim became scared.
"It... it can talk?"
Farid took out his sword.
"Stay calm," he said. "Do not listen to it."
The Shadow Keeper walked forward.
"You will never get these keys."
The Shadow Beast laughed.
Suddenly, a strong wave of dark energy rushed toward them.
BOOM!
The Shadow Keeper was thrown into a stone pillar.
"Shadow Keeper!" Rahim shouted.
Rahim quickly ran forward.
At that moment, the three keys shined even brighter.
A circle of blue, silver, and purple light appeared under Rahim's feet.
The Shadow Beast stopped moving.
It looked surprised.
"The chosen guardian..." it said softly.
Then the three keys sent a bright beam of light into the sky.
Ancient symbols appeared on the temple walls.
The whole temple shook again.
A mysterious voice echoed through the temple.
"The Final Gate has accepted its guardian."
Farid looked shocked.
"It has started..."
But far away, beyond the mountains, something strange happened.
The huge black gate slowly began to open.
Dark mist came out from inside.
Then, two bright golden eyes opened in the darkness.
Someone...
Or something...
Was waiting behind the gate.
Rahim did not know it yet.
But a new and more dangerous adventure was about to begin.
To be continued...
