The moment reality resumed, the sound of a body hitting the floor snapped everyone from their pause as the attention returned to where it was always meant to be—me.
"Alright, since the elder has so graciously asked this of me, then I can only relent." I stood over the motionless body of the youth I had been smashing headfirst into the ground as an innocent smile graced my face.
"Forgive my audacious act, Lady Luo, but you can't blame me. These guys were being too unreasonable; some discipline was in order." I shrugged as I stepped over the bodies, walking towards one of the many formation-covered seats whilst internally ordering Shulvan to stand down.
The guy was actually about to release his attack all because I had 'apologized'. His lack of understanding in these situations will never stop baffling me.
