"Heh. Old man. You say I shouldn't get cocky, then go around saying shit like that, you're basically fueling my ego at this point."
All I received was a dead stare from the old man.
It looked like he was starting to regret ever saying such words but I wasn't about to let him off.
"So, where do we start? Who are we jumping?" I asked, excited, only to get shut down.
"WE! Aren't doing anything. Your main focus should be getting through the ascension tests."
"Huh? But what's the point?"
"The point? The point is to have you grow more powerful than you could ever imagine."
"You have such an amazing gift, yet you've been underusing its potential so wastefully, I've seen enough.
