Jay-jay's POV:
"Open it now!" I ordered Calix impatiently.
"I'm nervous!" He answered back.
I glared at him angrily. This was his chance to know Mica's decision, and yet he didn't want to look. So weird!
After Mica talked to me earlier, she handed me a letter with a big smile. She asked me to give it to Calix, as it contanied her decision.
I immediately gave it to Calix, and he pulled me toward the second floor of Section E building. So here we are now, looking like fools pretending.
"I'll open it!" I said, trying to grab the letter from him.
Calix immediately pulled the letter away from me. "Non I should open it!"
"Hurry up!" I pleaded.
"I'm doing it!" He answered.
Slowly, he opened the envelope, took out the letter, and unfolded it.
This is thrilling!
I waited for him to say something. He kept looking at the letter when suddenly, tears started falling from his eyes.
Shit!
I didn't know what to say to him. He kept reading, and the tears kept flowing. I wanted to apologize, but for what?
Once he finished reading, he slowly lowered the letter, still staring blankly and crying.
"Calix..." I called out to him.
He looked at me and suddenly smiled. I didn't know if he was losing his mind or if he was just forcing himself to be happy.
"Hahaha..... Thank you, Jay!" He said.
I was nervous about Calix. I thought he had really lost it.
"Jay! S-she gave me a chance!"
When he said that, I jumped and clapped. I know it's over the top, but I had already expected disappointment.
Calix wiped his tears and laughed. The sadness was gone. It seemed like everything was okay again.
"Don't hurt Mica again, okay? She's mine now, damn it!" I warned him.
He just laughed and laughed. I'm happy for them. Calix won't cry anymore, and Mica doesn't have to ensure everything.
I really need to talk to Aries. He needs to stop messing with Mica and punish the one who deserves it.
We went back to the room with a joyful mood. Even our classmates noticed the smile on Calix's face. He shared the good news.
I can't wait to face Aries.
Classes ended. I moved faster than a speeding bullet. I ran as fast as I could to get home.
But Aries wasn't there yet. I waited for him by the door to make sure we wouldn't cross paths.
I waited for about an hour in my spot, but he still wasn't there. Then, I heard the car honking outside.
I was so excited and waited for the car to park.
Here he comes! Here he comes!
Aries got out of the car and gave me a dirty look. He was about to go inside when I blocked his way.
"Tsk! What now?" He asked angrily.
I showed him my phone and let the video play. He stared at it for a while, then his brows furrowed.
"What's this for? Why do you need to show this to me?" He said.
Wait! He's not angry?
"Proof! That Mica wasn't the one who said the 'W; word to Ella. And she even repeated it!"
He crossed his arms and faced me. "What do you want me to do?"
"I want you to stop messing with Mica..." I answered.
This isn't what I expected. He should be mad at Freya.
"Granted" He answered and went inside.
I immediately chased after him and blocked him again. "What now?"
"Aren't you going to confront Freya about this?! She deserves punishment..."
Aries chuckled. "That's it! You want to get back at Freya, right?"
"Huh? B-because------"
"You want to use me to get revenge on her! You showed me that video as proof but also used it to try to convince me to get angry at Freya!"
"H-huh----"
"Because that's what you want! I'm not going to punish Freya!" His tone became harsh. "Don't ever try to use me again!" He said and walked away.
I know he's right. I shouldn't have used him to get revenge on Freya. But I just feel like he punished the wrong person.
I felt defeated when I entered my room. I fell on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
Why is it so unfair?
I'm just trying to help Mica and punish Freya at the same time. But Aries won't do it because it's what I want.
Why?
Why are you like this Aries? Are you really this angry with me? I tried to reconcile, but you're elusive. Can we never be like we were before?
The times we played at Tita's house, when you'd pick me up and ask Mama to let me out to play. You'd invite me to swim in the river and brag about your school here.
I know it sounds childish, but those moments, the smiles, and the laughter we shared, can't they come back?
The next day.....
I woke up late. There were no classes, and the weather was gloomy, like it was about to rain.
I walked to the kitchen because I was hungry.
Apparently, skipping breakfast makes you really hungry.
When I got downstairs, I stopped in my tracks.
Why are they here?
"Hi Jay!" Kiko greeted me, waving.
I forced a smile and waved back. The Section A students were here. As usual, there's Freya, that bitch, Ella, Kiko, Mykel, who gave me a dirty look, and some others I didn't know.
I went straight to the kitchen where Tita was preparing sandwiches.
"Tita.... Why are Aries' classmates here?" I asked.
"They say they're working on a report. They're just waiting for Aries and the others," Tita replied.
She handed me a sandwich and a glass of juice. "Eat up....."
I did, because I was starving.
I didn't want to stay in the house. It felt weird with them here, especially Freya. My blood was boiling.
Since the weather was bad, I decided to ride my bike and go out. I still haven't reached some places around here.
After eating, I went back to my room, got ready, and prepared my phone and headset.
Kiko was the first to notice me when I came down. "Are you leaving?"
"Yeah.... Just some exercise."
His face looked sad. "Okay... Take care! I'll miss you."
Ahihihi.... He loves me!
"Me too..." I unconsciously replied.
He suddenly smiled. What did I just say?
"I.... I'll miss myself..." I added, and he laughed.
"Hahahaha... You're so cute, Jay."
Cute?! He said I'm cute?! HE CALLED ME CUTE!!!! AHAHAHAHA
My heart flipped all of a sudden. Before it could fall out of my body, I ran out of the house.
I grabbed my bike and started pedaling.
Wow, Kiko! My heart is going crazy because of him.
I'm so shameless, Jay!
While riding, I passed by some kids who were teaching each other how to bike.
Sigh... Aries was the one who taught me how to ride a bike.
Suddenly, I felt a little sad. I shouldn't be thinking about that. Look at these kids!
Then, my music changed on my phone. The song was so on point for us.

I just heard you found the one you've been looking for. I wish I would have known that wasn't me. Cause even after all this time. I still wonder why I can't move on Just they way you did so easily.
"Mom hit me! Huhuhu!"
"It's okay, Jay..... When you grow up, you can hit her back."

I stopped. I didn't realize u had started crying. I was crying over the memories I had with him.
The times when Aries would play with me and talk to me.
There were moments when people even mistook us for siblings.
It's strange though. Those are the only memories I have of my childhood. And that's all I have left.
