Chapter 84 - Ch 84- Battle

At the edge of the Waterfall basin, Lefiya struggled to dodge another wave of blazing fire breath.

At that moment, Amphisbaena's furious hiss echoed from the distance.

Seizing the brief moment of respite, the Elf girl stopped and looked ahead, only to realize that Cain had already rushed alone in front of Amphisbaena and carved a massive wound into its head.

"S... so amazing!"

Lefiya stood there in a daze.

That was the Labyrinth King.

Even an LV5 adventurer would not have an easy time facing it at the same level.

Yet Cain had actually managed to injure it by himself. It was almost absurd.

ROAR!!!

Just then, the left snake head that had been spewing flames let out a furious roar.

It stopped attacking Tiona and the others in the distance. Its eyes turned blood red as it lunged toward Cain with its jaws wide open.

"Be careful!"

Lefiya instinctively cried out in alarm.

Cain had just heavily injured the right snake head, and his body was still suspended in mid air.

Facing the massive maw rushing toward him, his expression suddenly became extremely serious.

Dodge? Or counterattack head on?

Two completely different options flashed through his mind.

In the next instant, Cain made his decision.

"It's time to test its power."

Clang!

Raikiri, which had just pierced through the dragon scales, slid back into its scabbard as electricity flickered across Cain's entire body.

In order to maximize the value of the weapon that cost one billion Valis, Cain had personally participated in the design of Raikiri.

Enhancing Current Propulsion was only one of its functions.

In addition, he had developed a brand new sword technique centered around Current Propulsion.

Golden electric light flowed across Cain's body and extended directly into the scabbard, instantly generating a powerful magnetic field.

Feeling the intense repulsive force inside the scabbard, Cain's concentration reached its absolute peak.

At that exact moment, Transparent World activated.

It was as if time had slowed down. Everything around him gradually moved in slow motion within his perception.

In the next instant, thunder flashed.

With the repulsive force created by the magnetic field, shot out at a speed far beyond anything before.

Like a sudden thunderbolt striking the ground, a deafening roar exploded through the battlefield.

Under Lefiya's stunned gaze, the right snake head that had been biting toward Cain just a moment earlier was violently knocked backward as if it had been struck by something massive.

"You've got to be kidding me."

Looking at the fang spinning through the air and the deep sword wound that had torn open the snake's mouth.

For the first time, Lefiya froze in the middle of battle, her mind completely blank.

On the other side, Tiona and the others did not freeze.

They had already rushed directly in front of Amphisbaena.

Compared to Cain, who used Current Propulsion to charge recklessly across the waterfall basin, their method of approach was far more traditional.

Using the power of an ice attribute magic sword, Tiona and the others had created several layers of ice platforms across the waterfall pool in advance to serve as footholds.

Relying on their Level 5 physical strength, they leapt repeatedly from one ice platform to another until they finally reached Amphisbaena.

"Nice one! Cain!"

Tiona shouted excitedly.

Everything that had just happened seemed to take a long time, but in reality it had all occurred within only a few seconds.

Seeing Cain inflict heavy damage on two of Amphisbaena's head, she could not help admiring him as she joined the battle.

"Tione!"

Tiona suddenly leapt into the air.

"Coming!"

Tione grabbed Tiona's feet with both hands and hurled her forward like a projectile.

With Tione's assistance, Tiona successfully landed on Amphisbaena's massive body.

In the next moment, she grinned fiercely and rushed forward with her greatsword raised high.

In front of Level 5 physical strength and an expensive custom forged weapon, Amphisbaena's scales were no sturdier than thin paper.

Within the span of a single breath, numerous wounds were carved across its massive torso.

Sensing the threat on its back, Amphisbaena roared and prepared to dive into the water to shake Tiona off.

But at that moment, a blonde figure appeared directly in front of it.

Because Cain had rushed forward first, Ais had slowed down slightly while searching for an opening.

Now that Amphisbaena was attempting to dive into the water, she no longer hesitated.

"Awaken Tempest"

A gust of wind brushed past as Ais's speed surged dramatically, and in the blink of an eye she appeared in front of Amphisbaena's right snake head.

Compared to the left snake head that breathed flames and had caused heavy destruction since the beginning of the battle, Ais was more wary of the right snake head.

If given time to recover, the right snake head would release a crimson blood mist that could interfere with Wind Spirit Dash and Cain's magic.

To prevent that situation, Cain and the others had decided from the beginning that the right snake head would be their primary target.

Ais did not hold back in the slightest. She immediately launched a finishing strike aimed directly at the right snake head.

Sensing the incoming danger, Amphisbaena, which had been about to dive, suddenly paused and twisted its body toward the water on the left side in an attempt to evade.

Even so, it could not completely avoid Ais's strike.

The sharp blade brushed past the snake's head, carving a deep bloody wound across the neck of the right head.

Before Amphisbaena could even roar in pain, Tiona leapt upward from its back.

Their years of seamless teamwork came into play. The moment Ais completed her attack, Tiona raised her greatsword and slashed downward along the wound Ais had created.

Relying purely on overwhelming brute force, she sliced through more than half of Amphisbaena's neck.

"Cain!"

"Don't worry, I'm ready."

In the distance, Tione crossed her arms and threw Cain forward just as she had thrown Tiona earlier.

Facing the nearly severed snake head spraying blood before him, Cain placed his hand on the hilt of his sword.

Thunder Breathing, Eighth Form: Go back to the crib!

The strike descended once more and cleanly severed Amphisbaena's right snake head at the base.

"Nice one! Cain... glug glug glug!"

Tiona splashed into the water and was instantly swept away by the powerful current toward the opposite side.

Seeing this, Cain, who was also about to fall into the water, remained completely calm.

He stepped onto the air and kicked downward with force, and lightning exploded beneath his feet once again.

Boom!

Using the explosive force generated by the lightning, he forcibly changed direction in mid air while dodging the pale blue flames raining down from above.

"Watch out! It's going berserk!" Tione shouted as she rushed forward to support him.

"It's fine, it can't hit me."

Cain moved like an acrobat across the battlefield, effortlessly weaving between the streams of flame.

"Lefiya!"

From the opposite side, Ais rushed forward while attacking the remaining snake head and called out for support.

"Ah! S-Sorry!"

Standing at the edge of the waterfall pool, the Elf girl finally snapped out of her daze after witnessing the unbelievable scene earlier.

Looking at the group in the distance working together flawlessly to sever one of Amphisbaena's heads in the blink of an eye.

Lefiya suddenly felt that all the worries she had yesterday were completely ridiculous and threw them aside.

A rapid chant echoed as Lefiya raised her staff high with both hands, magical power surging violently around her.

Several seconds later, an army of flaming arrows radiating terrifying magical power formed behind her.

"Fusillade Fallarica!"

Lefiya swung her staff forward, and the blazing arrows rained down toward Amphisbaena's last remaining head.
