Carlos was cruising along he was bored yes he was gaining Primordial energy through tuna and Pacific cod but after 2 months it still wasn't enough not to mention that he would have to wait for one of the Cephalaspis to become itchyostega to move onto the next period and that in its self was at least 75 million year change Maybe sooner but that all depends on certain things suddenly A.R.S activated

'Cephalaspis is on the verge of diluting into a brand new sub species'
Immediately Carlos swam down into the sand flats as he found a Cephalaspis incased in a weird viscous and hard to see through cocoon like what parrot fish do but way thicker and solid their was two of them one of them clearly got a head in the other one as their cocoon was starting to lighten up and diviscafiy barely revealing a shovel/spear like head and its eyes moved from the side of its head to forward facing which means it had fully acknowledged it's predatory diet and simply evolved to fit the role it was about to fill.
He waited for a good 3 hours going back to the water above him to chase sardines for a snack as he returned a few minutes later the viscous liquid started to dissolve and reveal the new sub species suddenly A.R.S revealed its self to explain the sub species information.

The first full body fish born from the humans first ancestor Quite an unexpected connection in the term of science as the Cephalaspis serratofossa fully emerged from its viscous imprisonment its original U shaped head design became elongated and the edges became serrated for slashing and cutting and its original Head armor moved down to its body creating the truly first armored fish the shovel head was meant for scooping out sand disturbing sand crustaceans and fish alike not only that but it had a small set of the first primitive teeth meant for chewing and ripping.
They are small but that didn't mean they didn't hurt as the serratafossa hit the sand it immediately started shoveling the sand with its new head or was it a nose kinda hard to tell but Aside from that as a shovel the sand it left trenches in it's wake suddenly a flounder bursted from the sand after being disturb using the sand flying in the water as a disguise attempted to shoot off in the opposite direction only of serratafossa To make a desperate attempt at arching its body for some strange reason suddenly it shot off the sand and impaled the young flounder through the vertebrae if it was just a couple of millisecondsoff it would've missed completely.
But now the flounder was paralyzed as serratafossa slammed back into the sand it started thrashing around the now paralyzed but still very conscious fish as it removed shovel/spear looking head from the flounders vertebrae it used The serrated edges to slash the fish scales open like butter as it made multiple of the slashes as small pieces of fish flesh Starting to float in the water open its mouth it sucked in the pieces before swallowing them as it continue this process the flounder eventually died too it's wounds.
As the serratafossa continued slashing and cutting it eventually cut deep enough to nearly completely bisect the flounder Which was its goal anyway as it started eating away at the flounder's internal organs and flesh After getting it filled proceeded to slam right into a Sand hill and bury itself deep within as it stopping moving and went into an early form of human sleep meanwhile the anomalocaris did up finding one of the trilobites and breaking it open and devouring it completely it didn't matter they serve their purpose anyway more trilobites would be swept up from the ocean depths in the next few months anyway.
Meanwhile above the open ocean a fishing boat tearing in electric generator attached to a net was approaching something big was going to happen and it wasn't going to be pretty.
