My voice dropped to a whisper. "My priorities all have significant purpose even down to the little.."
"That's why I still kept you around… but I want you to understand your place now in my life.."
She felt a hard pang, single drop of tears trickled down her face.
More tears streamed from both eyes, competitively rolling down her sunken cheeks.
Knowing I wouldn't prioritize her unlike the way I used to, the realization kept burning in her mind like a wild-fire.
She brought her palms together, like a supplicant, and shielded her face.
I noticed, little attraction of the crowd grow, so I walked her out their midst to the restroom, where she could feel comfortable enough to regain herself.
Even getting there, her face still remained buried in her palms, sobbing, even more agitatedly.
