CHAPTER TWO
"hello everyone, I'm nayza, I'm 20 years old, and I'm mostly a bike rider - I go most places on my bike. And , you know, I really love playing games. As you know, whatever happend last night.... Anyway, today is my first day at college, And I woke up late, guess I'm gonna be that girl who's late on day one".
Nayza quickly gets ready for college and she's nervous AF. Thinking, " how'll I talk to people? I'm awful at this, I always end up saying something different". And then she finally arrives at college.
As she entered the teacher's cabin, Nayza asked about her classroom and sir replied— your class room on the 2nd floor, A6." Nayza nodded, responding with a soft "okay, sir".
Just then, sir's gaze drifted to a pretty girl with a short hair, looking like a bundle of energy, snacking on something as she walked by. — sir called out " hey leera, come her". Leera quickly hide her snacks behind her back and smiled saying, " y-yes sir ?" With a cute grin.
The sir smiled, this is nayza, your new classmate. Take her to A6 and show her around, would ya?". Leera said "why not sir, now she's our classmate and maybe a friend of mine, right pretty girl nayza?" Nayza's eyes light up, and she says, "what a friend? This is such great feeling that you're my friend!" with a warm smile.
Nayza goes To the class. When The class is going on, the teacher, says "Leera, how did you get so late?"and her replies, "sir nayza is our new classmate. She came today, so she got late ",then the teacher says, "okay, no problem, you sit down and nayza, you come here and introduce yourself".
Nayza gives her introduction, She does it a bit nervously and says, "Hey, everyone I am Nayza, 20 years old nice to meet you all". That's all she can say.
Nayza looks around to see where she should sit then on every seat, She notices that two people are sitting on one seat each. she doesn't have a seat.
Then, her eye fall on the seat By the window, which is empty, no one is sitting there. So she goes and sits there. when she sits all the classmates start looking at her wondering if she did something wrong and she feels a bit awkward.
She looks at leera and leera gestures to her, saying it's OK, it will be fine. So nayza feelings, a bit calmer nods and smiles and then she starts studying as the class begins again.
Nayza keep thinking To herself—why is everyone looking at me?
Do I look strange? I knew no one would like me.
She just keep thinking like this, and then after a while,
The class ends after that, she looks towards leera,
Who is resting her head down, and one of her seatmate - a boy name yesir, sits nearby.
Yesir noticed that nayza is looking at leera again and again as if she wants to talk to her,
Yesir walks out of the class after that, nayza quickly goes over to Liya and says, "Hey, I want to sit with you, I was sitting all alone, why are you just sleeping Liya?".
Leera Replied — "I am really sorry but I can't. I also wanted to sit with you but I can't change my seat.The Teacher assigned all the seats, you'll have to wait until the teacher assigns you a seat. since the seat you are in is empty. You can sit there if you don't have a problem".
Nayza says — "OKay, I understand, but why was everyone in the class Looking at me like that?"
Then, Leera says, "forget it. Don't worry about that, they are just crazy, they do these kinds of thing".
After that, they drop the topic and go to the canteen for lunch and after all the classes are over, it soon turns five o'clock.
One by one everyone starts leaving the college.
Nayza and leera also heads to her house. they say goodbye to each other.
"On the way nayza thinking to herself".
Today was a really good day. I had a lot of fun. She remembers how Leera had told her. that, she really likes her seatmate - Yasir, and that she liked him for a long time,
But she haven't confessed to him yet.
And also leera is a good person and now she's my friend. My life has already become better. now I am not alone, and I hope that, leera stays my friend forever. And, I am really enjoying myself in this college right now.
When she gets home, she throws her bag down, lies on the bed because she was very tired from going to college in the morning and the library in the evening.
Then she feels hungry, so she makes some food for herself. While eating, she plays a game, like she used to- and she plays for a little while.
Then, as she is about to stop, she just leaves her phone and falls asleep without a blanket.
In the midnight, someone comes from the balcony again-the same person as last time-and watches her sleeping, with a slight smile on his face.
After that, he covers Naaz with a blanket, moves her hair from her face, and he looks at her face for a while before quietly leaving, letting her sleep peacefully on the balcony.
Morning comes
Nayza wakes up early.
Then she takes a shower, gets ready , and feels fresh.
She packs her bag and heads to college on her bike.
She parks her bike in the parking area and as she walks onto campus, heading towards her class, she sees leera.
They look at each other,
Leera — "hey beautiful !
Nayza — "h..hey beastie !
With ten minutes still left before the class began, Nayza and Leera walked in together.
As soon as they entered, Nayza noticed something unusual-on her seat sat Yesir and another boy she had not seen yesterday.
Leera leaned closer and quietly told her, "That boy's name is Erhan. He sits there."
Nodding slightly, Leera went to her own seat while Nayza walked toward hers. Just then, Yesir got up and moved back to his place, and Nayza finally sat down.
Once again, she could feel the eyes of the entire class on her. Some of them even whispered among themselves, wondering why Erhaan hadn't asked Nayza to leave his seat yet.
Nayza overheard those murmurs. As she settled in, she noticed something else-Erhaan was staring straight at her.
His gaze didn't waver for a long moment, and it made her feel increasingly uncomfortable.
Finally, unable to ignore it any longer, she turned to him and said, "WOULD YOU STOPSTARINGAT ME?"
Erhaan didn't respond.
Just then, the teacher walked into the classroom, and the entire class together, greeting, "Good morning, sir."
The teacher greeted everyone back with a "Good morning" and then said, "Let's begin the class." After a brief pause, he added, "Before we start, I'll assign a seat to the new student."
Then he called out, "Nayza."
"Yes, sir," Nayza responded.
"From now on, your seat will be the one you're sitting on. Okay?"
"Okay, sir," she replied.
The teacher looked at her again and asked, "You don't have any problem sitting there, do you?"
"No, sir," Nayza answered calmly.
Then he turned to Erhaan and asked, "Do you have any problem with Nayza sitting with you?"
"No, sir," Erhaan replied.
"Alright then, let's begin the class," the teacher said.
And once again, just like before, everyone's eyes drifted back to Nayza.
After forty minutes, the class finally came to an end. Nayza walked over to Leera, while Yesir went to sit beside Erhaan.
Looking slightly confused, Nayza asked, "Why does everyone keep looking at me like that? And they were even saying that why hasn't Erhaan asked me to leave his seat yet?"
Leera sighed softly before replying, "That's because Erhaan never lets anyone sit on his seat. He prefers studying alone. Anyone who tries to sit there, he simply tells them to move to another seat. And if they don't listen, he talks to the teacher, and the teacher assigns them a different seat."
She paused for a moment, then continued, "That's why everyone was staring at you-and at Erhaan too-because he hasn't asked you to move yet."
Then she looked at Nayza curiously and asked, "So tell me, did Erhaan say anything to you about it?"
Nayza shook her head. "No, he didn't say anything at all. And anyway, this is my seat now. Sir has already said it, and even Erhaan said he has no problem.
And even if he asks me later to leave the seat, I won't. Who does he think he is?"
Leera smiled slightly and said, "Yeah, you're right. But I don't think he has any problem anyway. So let's just drop this topic now."
