Chapter 320 - Chapter 320: Blooming Again, Diamond Town

[Rainbow Gourd Vine (Growing) (Special crop):…]

Compared to the last time he checked, the gourd vine had grown extremely well. The long main vine stretched outward like a wooden dragon winding through the air.

It climbed along the wooden frame Silas had built for it, extending outward in two directions. The space between the two ends had already reached nearly three meters. Silas tilted his head upward and gently parted the thick leaves while searching for the gourds hidden among them.

One flower, two flowers… there were seven gourd blossoms in total.

Each blossom had a different color.

Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple.

"This time there are actually seven flowers. All that fertilizer I used was not wasted."

Silas nodded with satisfaction.

What he did not realize was that the reason the vine had produced seven blossoms had nothing to do with fertilizer.

The real reason was the power of Zygarde.

Every day the red core quietly shared a small portion of its power with the vine. That was the true reason the gourd vine was able to bloom so many flowers.

Silas called over a Flapple and asked it to help keep an eye on the vine, making sure the blossoms did not wither.

After that, Silas left the berry orchard together with Cinccino and the other small Pokémon. The newborn Chikorita still needed plenty of sleep right now.

When he returned to the ranch house, he saw two sleepy girls walking out of their room. They were loosely wearing pink and blue pajamas while rubbing their drowsy eyes.

"You're awake?"

"Mhm."

Ann's voice was soft and sweet, still carrying the gentle tone of someone who had just woken up. It was very different from the energetic girl beside her.

Korrina suddenly spread her arms wide and lunged toward Cinccino.

Cinccino gave her a disgusted look. Its cheeks puffed up with irritation while its fluffy tail swished back and forth as it began brushing and cleaning Korrina.

"You two missed the moment the Chikorita were born just now."

Silas spoke with a cheerful smile from the side.

"Ah!"

Korrina's eyes widened in shock and she shouted angrily.

"Didn't we agree you would wake us up!"

"I did wake you, but you were sleeping like a lazy little pig. If you don't believe me, ask Riolu and Jangmo-o."

"Riolu! Jangmo!"

The two Pokémon nodded in agreement while continuing to deal with the delicious pan fried steak in front of them.

"Ugh… fine."

Korrina scratched her hair but Cinccino quickly smacked her hand away to stop the messy behavior.

"Then Big Brother Silas, can we go see the Chikorita now?"

Silas shook his head and accepted a cup of tea handed to him by the elder brother Indeedee.

"No. The Chikorita are sleeping right now. You'll have to wait until they wake up."

"Alright…"

With her cheeks stuffed full of bread, Korrina quickly regained her energy. She always seemed to stay full of vitality.

After finishing breakfast, Korrina enthusiastically declared that she wanted to help Silas with farm work.

And so the Meowth group gained two new helpers today. The two girls worked together in the fields pulling weeds.

Silas did not join them because he had other matters to handle.

He first carried out his daily ranch patrol together with Cyclizar.

During the patrol they encountered Dragonite preparing to take off.

Such a powerful Dragonite had now become a Dragonite taxi. Every day it was responsible for transporting the Florges back and forth between the ranch and Pokémon Town.

After reminding Dragonite to fly carefully, Silas picked up the Cinccino and Popplio at his feet and brought them to the cave.

The new song had already been practiced for quite some time.

It was time to check their progress.

"Noi! Noi! Noi!"

The moment Silas entered the cave, three Noivern surrounded him and began roaring complaints nonstop.

It turned out that over the past few days the Diamond Domain had been filled with constant banging and chatter.

The nonstop clanging noises echoed day and night.

For Pokémon like Noivern whose hearing was extremely sensitive, it had become impossible to sleep properly. Dark circles had already appeared beneath their eyes.

"Alright, alright. Let me ask what's going on."

Silas waved his hand and called over a Carbink to ask about the situation.

"Carb~ Bink!"

The Carbink looked troubled. On one side there was their boss Noivern, and on the other side there was their princess. They had no idea what they were supposed to do.

After hearing the full explanation from Carbink, Silas showed a surprised expression.

"Huh? So Diancie actually convinced the Carbink Minister and the elder Carbink to build a Diamond Town underground?"

"Car!"

The Carbink nodded.

Because this was the first command given by their Princess Diancie, the Carbink dared not slack off. They had been working in two shifts without stopping.

That was why the Noivern had been suffering from continuous sleepless nights.

If your downstairs neighbors were renovating their house day and night without stopping, even the calmest person would only tolerate it for two days at most.

Looking at the bloodshot eyes of the three Noivern, Silas understood that they were already on the edge of losing their temper.

"Noivern, go outside and get some sleep. I'll talk with Diancie about this."

"Cyclizar, go with them so they won't get disturbed again."

Silas climbed down from Cyclizar's back and asked it to keep an eye on the Noivern so they would not truly lose control and start causing chaos.

"Noii…"

The Noivern weakly nudged Silas with their heads before flying out of the cave and landing on the grass in front of the ranch house.

The moment they lay down their bodies collapsed from exhaustion. Within moments thunderous snoring filled the air.

Cyclizar covered its ears with both hands and showed a pained expression, clearly demanding compensation from Silas for the mental damage.

Meanwhile Silas followed the Carbink deeper into the Diamond Domain.

He did not go directly to find Diancie.

Instead he first went to the construction area.

At some point the Carbink had dug out a massive cavern. Around it were over a hundred smaller open spaces connected to the main chamber.

The scale was enormous.

It looked as if the entire underground area beneath the back mountain had been hollowed out.

Was it really necessary to build such a huge place just for a small town?

Soon Silas discovered the reason.

Inside the giant cavern the Carbink were building a palace for Diancie.

It had to be large.

Not only large, but also luxuriously decorated.

"Cin! Cin!" (This is so exaggerated! Such a big house!)

Cinccino stretched its tiny arms wide while sitting on Silas's shoulder.

The palace being built for Diancie was taller than twenty Cinccino stacked together.

The entire structure was constructed from various kinds of minerals and gemstones. The Carbink worked tirelessly without complaint.

"Car~" (Excuse us.)

Silas stepped aside as three Carbink passed by carrying more minerals.

Seeing that everyone was busy working, Silas decided not to interrupt them and instead continued toward the deeper part of the Diamond Domain.

"Diancie!"

"Silas, you're here!"

The diligent little princess looked up from her studies and waved happily before running toward them.

She pressed her face against Cinccino and Popplio as the little Pokémon began chatting cheerfully together.

Silas stepped forward and crouched down so he could look at her at eye level.

"How long will it take before Diamond Town is finished?"

Diancie grabbed Silas's hand and shook it excitedly.

"Very soon!"

Silas gently placed his hand on top of her head and explained.

"But when you build houses underground you can't work day and night without stopping. The Noivern haven't had a proper night of sleep for two days because of the noise."

"Ah!"

A look of guilt appeared in Diancie's eyes as she held onto Silas's sleeve.

"The Carbink and I were only thinking about finishing the town quickly. We didn't consider how the Noivern would feel. I'll go tell the Carbink to stop working right now."

"No need, no need."

Silas quickly held her back and gestured for her to wait.

"Starting tomorrow, you can stop construction during the day and work at night instead."

During the day the Noivern needed to sleep, while nighttime was when they were normally active.

"I'm sorry, Silas. I made you worry."

Diancie still looked very upset.

She was supposed to be the princess of the Diamond Domain, yet she had failed to consider the feelings of the other Pokémon.

"Resolving conflicts between Pokémon is one of my responsibilities anyway."

"I want to go apologize to the Noivern."

Diancie turned as if she was about to run off.

However Silas reached out and grabbed her.

"You still have a test today, remember?"

"Don't even think about escaping."
