Chapter 154 - Chapter 154: The Unique Greeting Between Dragon Pokémon, Choking the Neck and Digging for the Heart

It was… Anjanath?

No, no, that's not right—wrong franchise.

Tyrantrum, the Despot Pokémon.

Because it was revived from a fossil, its type became the dual typing of Rock and Dragon.

"TYRAAAA~"

"NOOOI!"

The eyes of the two Dragon-type Pokémon sparked with clashing flames, looking as though they would come to blows at the slightest provocation.

Even so, the two of them managed to restrain themselves.

"Silas, so you're the Elite Trainer the League told me about."

A clear, crisp female voice came from Tyrantrum's back. A moment later, Diantha, clad in blue knightly armor, nimbly leapt down. In her hand was a gorgeous knight's longsword, which she twirled in a flourish through the air before smoothly sheathing it.

Seeing Diantha dressed like this, Silas's eyes lit up at once. "Diantha~"

"Long time no see!"

The two shared a brief hug, and only then did Silas ask about the reason for her outfit.

"Sigh!" Diantha waved her hand irritably and explained, "I was in the middle of filming! The League suddenly informed me of an emergency mission. There wasn't even time to change, so I rushed over with Tyrantrum."

Silas's gaze swept over her, carefully taking in her appearance—this outfit suited her exceptionally well.

Her hair was neatly styled, adorned with a silver headpiece set with a single, simple blue diamond-shaped gem.

There were no overly elaborate decorations—everything was clean and understated.

Her upper body featured a blue-and-white armor design. The white pauldrons and bracers protected vital areas perfectly, highlighting her crisp, capable demeanor.

Her lower half was a blue short skirt edged with wave-like white trim, bound with crossing red ribbons that added a touch of liveliness and prevented the color palette from becoming monotonous.

Beneath that, she wore dark-blue fitted leggings paired with white knee-high greaves in the same style as the armor, outlining Diantha's flawless leg lines and exuding a sense of strength.

"Well? Not bad, right?" Diantha asked with a smile.

Seeing Silas staring straight at her, she posed generously. On her unadorned cheeks, a fleeting blush appeared and vanished in an instant.

"Ahem!" Clearing his throat twice, Silas snapped back to his senses and didn't hold back his praise. "Looks amazing. Honestly, you're the only one who could pull this off. No one else could. You're the perfect Dragon Knight in my eyes."

Being praised like that, Diantha's eyes curved into a smile. She brushed aside the loose hair by her ear and patted Tyrantrum with one hand.

The fearsome-looking Tyrantrum was exceptionally gentle in front of Diantha, obediently lowering its massive head to let her stroke it.

"Tyrant!" Tyrantrum lifted its head proudly, casting a smug glance at Noivern, as if saying, See? My Trainer gently pets me.

"Noi~"

Noivern let out a disdainful low growl, folded its wings, landed, and leaned its huge head over.

Silas reached out and patted it as well—this was the unique competitiveness of Dragon-type Pokémon…

Noivern half-opened its eyes and provocatively flung out a pulse of ultrasonic waves at Tyrantrum, forcing it to keep its eyes open.

Seeing this, Silas raised his hand and gave it a light smack.

"Enough. Don't mess around."

After Silas and Diantha each calmed their respective Pokémon, the two of them spread out a simplified map of the power plant.

"Judging from the battle traces outside, the emergency team lost contact only after entering the interior of the power plant," Silas said.

"On the way here, Tyrantrum and I noticed clear traces of lightning strikes. There should be an extremely powerful Electric-type Pokémon inside the power plant," Diantha added.

As the two discussed their next course of action, Tyrantrum and Noivern stood behind them, glaring at each other with undisguised hostility.

If not for their Trainers keeping them in check, given their ferocious temperaments, the two would have already come to blows the moment they met.

Whether you can win or not is secondary—what matters is not losing in terms of presence.

The philosophy was simple: lose the fight if you must, but never lose the aura!!!

Five minutes later, Silas and Diantha finalized a rough plan.

Slip in quietly—no unnecessary gunfire.

First, find the emergency team and get them out safely, then investigate the cause of the power plant's shutdown.

After settling the plan, the two turned back, preparing to recall their Dragon Pokémon.

"…What are you two doing? Is this some kind of unique greeting between Dragon-type Pokémon?"

What they saw was Noivern using its dragon tail to choke Tyrantrum's neck, squeezing until Tyrantrum's face turned blue.

Tyrantrum was not to be outdone. Dragon-type energy gathered around its short forelimbs as it clawed at Noivern's chest, tearing and scratching the dragon scales that had been meticulously polished by the Carbink.

Noticing their Trainers' gazes, Noivern and Tyrantrum simultaneously glared at each other, then patted one another in a show of sudden "brotherly" harmony.

Noivern gritted its teeth and replied in a stiff tone, "Noi~"

(Silas, you're done discussing things? I'm just making friends with Tyrantrum here!)

Tyrantrum held its breath and continued patting Noivern again and again.

"Tyrant!"

(That's right, that's right—we're making friends.)

"Alright, that's enough of your 'enthusiasm.' Come back for now, both of you!"

Silas shook his head. Their little schemes were obvious to him.

He raised a Poké Ball and recalled Noivern. Diantha did the same, recalling Tyrantrum.

"Does Cyclizar greet others like that too?" Diantha asked with a laugh.

"Cyc!"

Cyclizar shook its head decisively—those two were just idiots.

They were all Dragons, but there were huge differences between Dragons and Dragons.

"This way. There's a ventilation duct marked on the map that leads directly to the control room."

After confirming the map and memorizing the route, Silas motioned for the person and Pokémon behind him to move.

With emergency indicator lights lining both sides, they easily found the correct path and soon arrived at the control room.

Bang—

Cyclizar smashed its head into the barrier covering the ventilation duct, knocking it open. Cyclizar and Litten jumped out one after another, cautiously scanning their surroundings. No humans or Pokémon were in sight; everything was eerily quiet.

Only then did Silas and Diantha climb out, looking around carefully.

"Litten, give us a little fire for lighting."

Even the control room inside the power plant was without power—pitch-black.

"Meow!"

A fireball wrapped in oily fur shot out and stuck to the wall, driving away a large swath of darkness.

The control room wasn't very large; after a quick circuit, the two had examined most of it.

Silas asked, "Did you find anything useful?"

Diantha replied, "There should be a camera control console here. If we restore power, we can see the layout of the entire power plant."

"Cyclizar!"

Silas waved behind him. Cyclizar quickly ran over and lowered its voice.

"Cyc?"

After locating the control power source, Silas first cut off the connection between the control room and the rest of the power plant.

"Use the weakest current possible. Help restore power to the control room."

Threads of electricity were converted by the generator, and the lights throughout the control room flickered on almost simultaneously.

The camera system began rebooting, and one dark screen after another appeared before them.

Most of them were offline, with only a handful providing any visual feedback.

"The emergency team is in the secondary control room."

On the few remaining functional surveillance feeds, three figures appeared.

One was a power engineer, one a maintenance technician, and the third was the Trainer assigned to escort them.

All three were in the secondary control room.

"Let's get them out first."

"Agreed."

The two nodded. After memorizing the route, they advanced silently and soon arrived at the door to the secondary control room.

"Could the three of you tell us exactly what happened inside the power plant?"
