Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 — Return. Henry’s Help

When Sylvar Crowe noticed the missile rapidly approaching, he immediately activated the World-Piercing Pearl with his mind.

The moment the ability activated, a flash of white light appeared.

Before leaving, Sylvar Crowe raised his hand toward the camera and displayed the universally friendly gesture.

His middle finger.

Then his body disappeared in the white light.

In the next instant, Sylvar Crowe returned to the base of the Black Bulls.

Coming back here again made Sylvar Crowe feel extremely comfortable.

Sylvar Crowe suddenly had the urge to sing a song.

But after thinking carefully about his own musical ability, he gave up on the idea.

Better not embarrass himself.

He walked to the bedside table and checked the watch.

The time displayed was already 6:30.

Sylvar Crowe turned his head and glanced toward the sky outside the window.

It seemed like evening was approaching.

After being gone for so long?

Sylvar Crowe frowned slightly.

He carefully checked the watch again.

The date had not changed.

That meant only about seven or eight hours had passed.

So time on the other side had been flowing roughly one hundred times faster.

Sylvar Crowe could not help thinking.

I have no idea what the time flow speed is on the other side of the Gate.

Better go there again later and take a look.

Then I can arrange some things.

If something comes to mind, I will deal with it then.

After thinking for a moment, Sylvar Crowe made a decision.

He would go find Henry first.

There was not enough space in his current room to release the Gate.

Putting it directly in the living room would not create any surprise.

And if the Gate was going to be used frequently in the future, it needed to be placed in a fixed location.

If the Gate were released outside the Black Bulls base, it could easily be discovered.

Someone might even steal it.

Therefore, Henry needed to build a large hall specifically for the Gate.

That way, only members of the Black Bulls would know about it.

Security would increase greatly.

And when everyone gathered for dinner, they would receive a surprise.

After happily making that decision, Sylvar Crowe began walking through the base toward Henry's room.

This time, as Sylvar Crowe walked through the corridors of the base, he noticed something.

The rooms had not changed.

Perhaps Henry had listened to the advice Sylvar Crowe gave last time and stopped randomly altering the internal structure of the base.

After all, it was extremely easy to get lost when the rooms constantly changed.

Sylvar Crowe quickly located Henry's room.

He raised his hand and knocked on the door.

Then he pushed the door open and walked in without waiting for a response.

Henry's reactions were always slow anyway.

The moment he entered the room, Sylvar Crowe spoke directly.

"Henry-senpai, please help me with something."

"I need a large hall inside the Black Bulls base."

He paused for a moment.

"Oh right. That hall also needs to be hidden so that it cannot be discovered easily."

Henry nodded slowly.

"No problem."

Henry opened his grimoire.

He flipped through the pages.

Then he used his magic.

In an instant, a huge hidden space appeared inside the Black Bulls base.

The location was the very center of the base.

The hall was extremely secret.

There were only three ways to enter it.

Someone could break through the wall.

Someone could use Henry's magic.

Or someone could use spatial magic to teleport directly inside.

The reason was simple.

The walls surrounding the hall were nearly five meters thick.

"Henry-senpai, very good. This is exactly what I wanted," Sylvar Crowe said.

"It's okay," Henry replied.

Afterward, Sylvar Crowe escorted Henry back to his room.

Before leaving, Sylvar Crowe said to him,

"Come to dinner tonight."

"I will seal you later."

Henry smiled happily.

"I'm really happy that I can eat with everyone again."

Because the walls of the hidden hall were completely sealed and five meters thick, Sylvar Crowe used spatial magic to teleport directly inside.

The first thing he did was place a watch inside the room.

Then he opened his grimoire.

The pages flipped.

The image of the Gate appeared on one of the pages.

The Gate had been sealed there earlier.

Sylvar Crowe controlled the grimoire and released the Gate into the hall.

In less than a moment, the Gate stood quietly inside the hidden chamber.

Sylvar Crowe's heart began beating faster.

His hands trembled slightly.

He slowly walked forward.

Then he stepped through the Gate.

The result was exactly what he expected.

Sylvar Crowe arrived on the other side of the Gate.

He returned to the other world where Rory Mercury, Lelei La Lalena, and Tuka Luna Marceau were.

Not long after Sylvar Crowe emerged from the Gate, the nearby soldiers noticed something strange.

The Gate had become usable again.

The soldiers looked extremely shocked.

Sylvar Crowe did not intend to explain very much.

He only said a single sentence.

"I have already controlled the Gate."

"Of course, I cannot return to the original Earth where I came from."

"But traveling to other worlds is no problem."

After speaking, Sylvar Crowe walked away calmly.

The soldiers were still standing there in shock.

None of them dared to stop him.

Even though they had countless questions in their minds, they did not dare ask anything.

This base did not possess missiles or nuclear weapons.

They only had rocket launchers and heavy machine guns.

But those weapons were useless against someone who could teleport.

After leaving the base area, Sylvar Crowe thought about summoning the Flame Dragon again.

He opened the grimoire and called the dragon.

He told the dragon to approach.

But not too close.

If it came too close, it would scare the people here.

After that, Sylvar Crowe wandered around the settlement.

He observed the environment carefully.

Many different races were living together here.

Sylvar Crowe felt extremely satisfied when he saw this.

Not bad.

This place really does look good.

While walking along the road, Sylvar Crowe saw someone familiar.

It was the guard he had spoken to the first time he arrived at the Gate base.

Sylvar Crowe raised his hand and greeted him.

"Hey, hello. Nice to see you again."

The guard looked surprised.

"Your speech that day was broadcast live around the world," he said excitedly.

"It was so tempting."

"How could I not come?"

"After all, girls with animal ears are amazing."

Sylvar Crowe nodded seriously.

"Great minds think alike."

Then he asked another question.

"By the way, does this base have a name now?"

The guard nodded proudly.

"Of course."

"This base is now called Utopia."

"It means a peaceful ideal country."

"That's a good name," Sylvar Crowe said.

"I hope it truly lives up to its meaning."

The guard nodded again.

"That is the hope shared by all races here."

Sylvar Crowe suddenly realized something.

"Oh right."

"I still don't know your name."

"My name is Sylvar Crowe."

The guard smiled.

"My name is Panasonic Handbrake."

"Hello, Sylvar."

"But honestly, I prefer calling you by your nickname."

"Guardian of Ice."

Sylvar Crowe froze for a moment.

Panasonic Handbrake?

What kind of strange name is that?

No.

What the hell kind of name is that?

Sylvar Crowe decided not to comment.

"Handbrake," Sylvar Crowe asked, "what does 'Guardian of Ice' mean?"

"It refers to the day when you alone blocked the endless army pouring out of the Gate," Panasonic Handbrake explained.

Sylvar Crowe suddenly did not know how to respond.

So he quickly changed the topic.

"By the way, have you seen Rory, Lelei, and Tuka?"

Panasonic Handbrake nodded.

"You mean the three of them."

"I heard that Lelei and Tuka went to the Magic Kingdom."

"They said they wanted to take some kind of examination."

"As for Rory…"

His expression became slightly strange.

"She seems to be waiting for you in the tavern."

"She said you would definitely come back."

Sylvar Crowe noticed that strange expression.

"Where is the tavern?" Sylvar Crowe asked.

"We shouldn't keep her waiting too long."

Panasonic Handbrake pointed toward a nearby street.

"It's over there."

"There is a tavern in that direction."

"It's easy to find."

"Goodbye, Handbrake," Sylvar Crowe said before walking away.

Panasonic Handbrake waved casually.

"I'll continue my patrol."

"You go meet your girlfriend."

Sylvar Crowe stopped walking for a moment.

Girlfriend?

What is he talking about?

What did Rory say here before I arrived?

Sylvar Crowe quickly hurried toward the tavern.

When he entered, he immediately noticed people giving him strange looks.

He walked toward Rory's table.

"Sis—" Sylvar Crowe began to say.

But before he could finish the word "Rory," she interrupted him.

"Dear, you're finally here."

"I've been waiting for you for so long."

Sylvar Crowe instantly understood.

Ah.

That explains everything.

The strange looks from the surrounding people felt like knives stabbing into his back.

"Please stop talking like that," Sylvar Crowe said helplessly.

"It gives me goosebumps."

Rory Mercury tilted her head slightly.

"Really?"

She pointed at herself and smiled slightly.

Her voice was soft and charming.

Sylvar Crowe felt like he could not endure this atmosphere any longer.

He immediately spoke again.

"Do you want to travel to another world?"

"Hurry up."

Rory Mercury looked surprised.

"You succeeded?"

"Of course," Sylvar Crowe replied.

"Who do you think handled it?"

Rory smiled.

"That's right."

"After all, you are my dear."

Sylvar Crowe's expression suddenly changed.

First he looked surprised.

Then his face became horrified.

He crouched down beside the table.

Then he began drawing circles on the ground with his finger.

He muttered quietly while drawing.

"I deserve to die."

"I really deserve to die."

Rory stood up and looked down at him.

"What are you doing?"

"It's nothing," Sylvar Crowe said with tears in his eyes.

"Nothing at all."

"Let's go see the other world."

"Don't worry about this."

Then he brought Rory back to the Gate.

After arriving there, Sylvar Crowe paused.

He thought for two seconds.

Then he looked at the magic power remaining in his grimoire.

Two units.

Not enough to do anything.

Why did he need magic power?

Because Sylvar Crowe had only sealed part of the Gate earlier.

He had not sealed the entire Gate.

Another portion of the Gate still existed in this world.

Perhaps this version was actually the true Gate.

The portion Sylvar Crowe sealed earlier was only a projection of this Gate.

Therefore, sealing every Gate completely would require an enormous amount of magic power.

Sylvar Crowe muttered quietly.

"Magic power…"

"Where can I find enough magic power?"

Right now, not all members of the Black Bulls squad were present.

Even if he asked them for magic power, it would not be enough.

Rory Mercury heard him muttering.

"Do you need magic power?"

"Yes," Sylvar Crowe replied.

"Do you have any?"

Rory tilted her head slightly.

"What do you need magic power for?"

"Aren't we going to another world?"

"I need magic power to seal the Gate here as well," Sylvar Crowe explained slowly.

"If I seal every Gate, then I can fully control them."

"Otherwise, if the magic power here runs out and the Gate closes by itself, I will never be able to return."

Rory nodded thoughtfully.

"So if you seal all the Gates, you can travel to other worlds whenever you want?"

"Not exactly," Sylvar Crowe replied.

"But I could place Gates in other worlds."

"Then I could connect those worlds together."

"Imagine turning them into tourist destinations."

"That would be interesting, wouldn't it?"

Rory smiled.

"Getting magic power is not difficult."

"All the villagers in the elf village have magic power."

"You only need to ask them."

"After all, you are their savior."

When Sylvar Crowe heard this, he nearly jumped forward and kissed her.

What a brilliant idea.

In the eyes of the elves, Sylvar Crowe had already become a living magic power bank.

A magic power bank with endless energy.

Almost like a semi-perpetual motion machine.
