The woman stared at Nina Jacobs in shock.
The glaring flames rising in the distance happened to block everyone's view.
She glanced around and asked, "Can we still escape now?"
"I can cover you, but someone has to stay here to hold them off," Nina Jacobs replied.
The woman's face turned deathly pale at Nina Jacobs's words, but she knew a sacrifice was inevitable.
About ten minutes later, a dense mist suddenly filled the air.
The mist obscured everyone's vision. Even Anselm Hughes, standing on high ground, frowned. "Cecily Wells!"
"Yes!"
Cecily Wells immediately activated her Wind Element Superpower. As the mist was gradually blown away, someone shouted:
"They're making a run for it!"
"Trying to run?
I'll find out who sent you today if it's the last thing I do!"
Through the mist, Anselm Hughes led his men in pursuit.
"There are more of them running that way!"
The scent of blood in the night had already started to attract zombies.
