"Ma'am, we should be heading back," an older woman said, walking over from the side. "The young miss is about to wake up."
"Yes, Ms. Abbott... Don't you think... this world is a bit too unfair?" Arcadia White said, gazing at Anselm Hughes's retreating back.
"Why can some people have a Dual Element Superpower, while Evelina and I are just ordinary people?"
"Well..."
Hearing Arcadia White's words, Ms. Abbott was momentarily at a loss for a reply.
"Superpower Users look more vibrant and youthful, but ordinary people have to endure all sorts of illnesses and infections, and we age faster, too..."
Arcadia White caressed her face, which was no longer smooth.
She was not a Superpower User.
Neither was her daughter.
But Anselm Hughes had already become the only Intermediate Superpower User in all of Lornwood.
His face and body grew healthier and more vigorous by the day.
Anselm Hughes was already four years younger than her to begin with.
