Before leaving the next morning, Nina Jacobs gave Mordecai Quinn two things.
One was the photograph she had picked up on the mountain.
"This is… a photo of me and my dad. How did you get it?"
Mordecai Quinn had thought he would never find this precious photograph again.
"Atticus and his group dropped it when they fled that day."
Nina Jacobs replied.
"Thanks. And what's this?"
Mordecai Quinn was also holding a grayish-black stone.
Holding the stone gave him a strange sensation.
"It seems you haven't heard of it yet?"
Nina Jacobs wasn't surprised. After all, in her past life, it wasn't until the second year of the apocalypse that Drakonians learned of the Mystic Ice Core's existence.
After she explained the general purpose of the Mystic Ice Core to Mordecai Quinn, his eyes filled with shock.
"This is so valuable."
'She was actually willing to give it to him.'
His voice was choked with emotion.
"You can find a safe place to absorb it. Just consider it a favor you owe me."
