Chapter 68 - The Call

As Nathan watched the door Bobby tried to open it but he stopped him. The female paranormal expert arrived with two other people.

"We found a door," Bobby announced.

"What are you waiting for? Let's see what is behind that door," the lady said.

'The last time I opened a door in a basement Felix and Clayton died.' Nathan thought.

Abed walked over to the door but before he could open it. Nathan grabbed him and slammed him against the wall.

"Don't open it," he yelled as he pinned him against the wall. Jenny walked over and loosened his grip. She slowly led him away from the door.

"Are you okay?" she asked as they walked back upstairs.

"I'm fine, it's just whoever covered it up must have done it for a reason," Nathan explained.

"Don't worry, it will be fine," Jenny assured him.

Meanwhile, back down in the basement. Bobby and Abed found out the door had been nailed shut.

Using the crowbar they started to take out the nails one by one. Crumbs of the door fell as they did.

After a while, they pulled out most of the nails.

The rest they couldn't remove tore through the rotten wood as they pulled open the door.

Behind it were stairs that led down. Abed gestured at Ingrid, who handed him a flashlight. Abed and Bobby walked down the stairs and Ingrid and another of their colleague followed them.

The stairs led into a tunnel, and the walls were wet and slippery. Bobby and the last guy behind filmed as they went deeper into the tunnel.

About a few feet away from where they started was a cave. At the center of the cave sat a stone slab. Three rocks were spread evenly apart and on top was a stone slab.

"Wow, the EMF meter is going off the chart," Abed screamed.

"Restless spirits, communicate with us so we can hold you rest," Ingrid said and looked at the camera.

Top side Nathan heard a crackling noise.

"What's that?" Nathan asked and got up from the couch. He walked down the hallway to the corridor where the Paranormal Busters had set up their equipment.

Nathan turned a dial and the crackling sound flickered for a while. After a while the sound became clear.

"Their blood is on your hands," a raspy voice said over the speakers.

Nathan ran to the armory and grabbed a shotgun and some rocksalt fill shells. He grabbed a couple and put them in his pocket and ran down to the basement.

He put some shells in the gun as he ran through the tunnel. When he got to the cave he found them on the floor seizing.

He swung his stapled shotgun behind him and ran to check on them. They kicked and foamed at the mouth. Their eyes rolled to the back of their heads.

He was dragging Iris out when someone grabbed his shoulder. He quickly turned and saw it was Jenny.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I want to help," she replied.

"It's not safe to go back upstairs," Nathan warned.

Jenny ignored him, she grabbed Ingrid by the shoulders.

"Ive got her get the others," she said.

Nathan sighed and ran to grab Bobby. A woman with circles under her eyes appears in front of him.

He swung his gun to the front but before he could fire. The woman waved her hand and sent Nathan flying.

He got up and suddenly his joints were stiff. He hovered around the room. When he got to the stone slab he fell.

He struggled to get up but a force held him down. The woman glitched and appeared by his side.

"Help!" Nathan screamed.
