The ground around them shook and an intense chill spread from the forest. Everyone turned and looked there. Jin also turned and his eyes narrowed. From the forest, a mist is spreading. The mist is the opposite of vitality and it is also devouring everything on its path.
But Jin knew the devouring power too well so he can sense that this is not devouring. It was like a corrosion and conversion of the natural affinity of the surroundings. From the mist, faint steps sounded and then appeared the strange creature that the villagers mentioned.
Jin looked at them and noticed that they are colourless and they excluded the same aura as the mist. What puzzled Jin was the humans and the beasts all together. He turned and looked at Tren and asked for the reason. Tren replied,
"They are the deceased humans from our village and these beasts were the ones who died in the forest."
