「God-Tier · Divine Artifact Construction」
「By observing divine authorities, coming into contact with ruins related to divine authorities, or observing the corresponding celestial phenomena during the month governed by a Moon Sovereign, one may construct Divine Artifact blueprints corresponding to that authority, and grant ordinary equipment a pathway toward ascension into Divine Artifacts.」
At this moment, after witnessing Yakatikto take action, a blueprint in the shape of a staff rapidly formed within Kanzaki Rei's mind.
Luck.
This was ultimate luck.
Turning phenomena that should have been impossible into reality itself.
More importantly, none of this destruction was the result of Yakatikto directly attacking, nor was it the effect of any skill cast upon a target.
It was merely nature itself.
Pure coincidence.
Rei's gaze shifted slightly to the side, where he saw Shin Senka clenching her tiny fists tightly.
Yakatikto had descended into the mortal world.
Shua!
And at the exact moment Yakatikto left her divine kingdom and manifested in reality, Rei suddenly sensed incomparably deep and terrifying auras erupting from every corner of the world.
Moon Sovereigns.
Every aura carried similarities to Yakatikto.
They were all Moon Sovereigns!
"Yakatikto, what exactly are you trying to do?"
"You descended despite the restrictions. Are you not afraid of the backlash? Even you cannot ignore the oath made upon ascension to godhood."
An emotionless voice descended from above.
Following the voice, its source gradually materialized.
Rei looked upward toward the highest reaches of the sky.
Beyond the heavens was the luminous Astral Realm.
The Astral Realm was the universe itself.
Within it, countless stars and drifting dust gathered into a vague, indistinct visage.
A god was moving within the cosmos.
This was Perga, the August Moon Sovereign of Peace and Tranquility.
So the Astral Realm itself was His divine kingdom.
And Earth had apparently always existed within His divine kingdom all along.
Meanwhile, Yakatikto appeared completely relaxed, strolling leisurely through the sky while brilliant colors shimmered around her.
And it was not just one Moon Sovereign observing her.
"Mm~ what's the problem?"
"The entire world moves according to my will. Why would I ever be punished?"
"Hahaha! Yakatikto, so even you have entered the stage!"
"That means war can finally begin, doesn't it?!"
Fwoosh!
With those words alone, the sky turned crimson as though engulfed in flames.
Heavy burning cloud layers completely obscured the Astral Realm above, and behind those clouds, countless legions could vaguely be seen.
Banir—the Moon Sovereign of War and Flame.
It was said that those who worshiped war, or died upon battlefields, would ultimately attain eternal life within Banir's divine kingdom.
The armies of Banir were endless.
Immortal warriors beyond counting.
Among them were heroes from every era.
There were even rumors that ancient Ninth-Tier class holders who died in war had ultimately become valiant generals within His divine realm.
"Yakatikto, have you considered my proposal yet?"
"Join forces with us and with White. Together we'll trample this entire world flat! Hahahahaha!"
Hearing Banir's boisterous laughter, Yakatikto answered with elegant amusement.
"Does White know you plan to ally with her?"
"But thank you for the invitation. I'll decline. I'm not particularly interested in starting wars."
Yakatikto refused him.
Yet another roar thundered across the heavens.
"Banir! Must you truly drag this entire world into chaos before you're satisfied?!"
The voice still came from the skies.
From the distant Astral Realm itself.
RUMBLE—
Clouds across the entire world ignited like blazing firestorms.
Banir's deep voice sneered coldly.
"That's right, Perga... I'm not some hypocritical fraud like you. I want to plunge the entire world into war. If you've got the guts, then stop me, bastard."
One represented war.
The other represented peace.
These two Moon Sovereigns clearly despised each other.
BOOM—
Heaven and earth trembled violently.
The mere clash of intent between the two Moon Sovereigns caused the skies themselves to quake endlessly.
"Yakatikto, it still isn't time for your descent yet."
Tap—
Behind Yakatikto, a small black-haired girl seemed to appear.
Or perhaps she was a little girl?
It was impossible to tell clearly.
Her form resembled a blurred pixelated mosaic, leaving nothing distinct behind even in memory.
"It really isn't time yet. I was simply feeling bored and wanted to come out for a walk."
"To clear my head a little." Yakatikto smiled softly.
The blurry figure asked in confusion,
"A walk? You truly are willful."
"Can luck really guarantee your safety?"
Yakatikto answered casually,
"Mhm. It can."
The remaining gazes still lingered upon Yakatikto, but none of the Moon Sovereigns approached her further.
Rei could even feel one particularly cold gaze.
Wherever that gaze rested, everything seemed to fall into lifeless silence.
White was watching as well.
And strangely enough, a restless impulse suddenly arose within Rei—
The urge to use the Pure White Descent Ritual and summon White directly.
Rei lightly pressed against his chest, suppressing the impulse.
"Mm~"
"Zhuya, although this is currently your month, you probably wouldn't mind if I added a little extra good fortune to it, right?" Yakatikto asked playfully.
She merely raised one hand gently.
And immediately—
All across the world, treasure chests of dazzling and varied colors began appearing everywhere.
"You really aren't afraid of backlash at all."
Rei had no idea who spoke those words.
The voice was hoarse and rasping, sounding nothing like a human being.
Yakatikto interfered with the world itself.
Then, with Rei and Shin Senka following behind her, she casually walked across the skies above the world.
Even beneath the gazes of the other Moon Sovereigns, she moved as though no one existed around her at all.
Borrowing Yakatikto's perception, Rei suddenly and coincidentally discovered the hiding place of an old acquaintance.
Eldemir.
She was concealed within a mountain wrapped layer upon layer in flesh-like membranes resembling flower petals.
The moment Yakatikto's perception swept across her location, Eldemir immediately curled herself up tighter like a frightened rat.
Not even daring to reveal herself.
Even from an immense distance away, Rei could smell the fear radiating from her emotions.
Even gods feared the Moon Sovereigns?
Rei vaguely remembered that during the Moon Sovereign struggle ten years ago, Eldemir had likely attempted to compete for a Moon Sovereign seat herself.
But in the end, she failed.
He wondered whether she had been injured after that struggle.
And whether she had ever fully recovered.
Eldemir's hiding place was within Boundless Mountain itself, where she had carved out a forbidden zone concealed beneath layers of flesh.
Shouldn't gods be hiding within their divine kingdoms?
That mountain wrapped in flesh didn't resemble a divine kingdom at all.
Unless...
Something had gone wrong with her divine kingdom?
If that was truly the case...
Rei quietly began calculating within his heart.
Boundless Mountain wasn't that far away.
And the grudge from back then still remained unsettled.
Still, she was ultimately a god.
Before killing her, he needed absolute certainty.
Otherwise...
He might end up in another situation like this one with Yakatikto.
Only after meeting her did he realize—
He simply couldn't win.
"Where... are we going?" Shin Senka finally asked.
The entire way, Rei himself had remained silent.
Yakatikto smiled faintly.
"Nowhere in particular. Just wandering around casually, taking a walk, seeing whether we stumble across anything interesting."
"I think this is the best way to get to know new friends."
Get to know?
Just as Rei was about to think more deeply about those words, he suddenly felt the space before him vanish.
Without warning, he fell into the void.
Shua—
Before his eyes stretched a vast, silent purple emptiness.
Even ordinary elemental energy had thinned to almost nonexistent levels.
Tap—
Yet only a second later, Rei returned once more, once again walking behind Yakatikto as though nothing had happened.
"If we are friends, then you should remain perfectly safe."
"But if we are enemies..."
Tap—
In the next instant, Rei suddenly found himself inside another incomparably deep space.
The surroundings were filled with monsters and tangled roots.
Everywhere around him surged the auras of Eighth-Tier monsters.
Please excuse the lack of update for one chapter.
