He didn't stay long in the restroom.
Jay walked back to the table without a word and pulled his chair out, sitting down like he had never left. His gaze moved between the two men briefly before settling.
"When are we leaving?" he asked.
Roman leaned back slightly in his chair, studying him.
"Soon," he replied.
Jay gave a small nod, satisfied enough with the answer, though his fingers tapped lightly once against the table as if measuring time in his own way.
Roman stood up first.
The movement was smooth, deliberate, signaling the end of the dinner without needing to announce it. Daniel followed shortly after, rising from his seat with an easy composure that never quite left him.
"Alright," Daniel said, glancing between them. "Thanks for coming."
Jay stood as well.
For a brief second, Daniel extended his hand again more naturally this time, less calculated than before.
