That night, Maximillian was about to fall asleep when, suddenly, he found himself teleported into the Galvus Chamber.
The shift was so abrupt that he couldn't comprehend what had happened, but he steadied himself and carefully observed his surroundings.
At last, he faced the steel-faced fossil and rose to his feet.
Galvus—the giant steel head—opened his eyes and looked toward Maximillian.
"Boy… I have indeed found a solution to your problem. Now fulfill your side of the deal, and we shall have no issues after that," said Galvus.
"A-alright, Archpreceptor… I will tell you. But could you please tell me the solution to my problem first?" Maximillian replied.
"Very well, since you asked," Galvus said in a low voice, his eyes glowing brighter.
In the blink of an eye, Maximillian's surroundings changed. He now stood in a vast field of orange grass.
This transition was even more sudden than the last.
He soon heard footsteps. Turning around, he saw an old man approaching him, leaning on a long staff.
Maximillian flinched, but then the old man's eyes met his.
Those eyes… it felt as though they could see straight through him.
"Oh boy, I suppose you must be surprised by this…" said the figure.
"G-Galvus?" Maximillian asked.
"You recognized my true form quicker than your predecessors," Galvus replied.
Maximillian had only guessed based on instinct, but it seemed the old man before him truly was Galvus.
"So… are we in an illusion?" Maximillian asked.
"Yes. You are indeed clever," said Galvus.
Compared to before, this form of Galvus felt far more approachable—almost like a kind old man.
"So, tell me quickly," Maximillian said, unwilling to remain in this illusion any longer.
"Come, sit beside this old man first," Galvus said.
Maximillian complied. The two sat on the ground side by side, watching the setting sun in the illusion.
Before Maximillian could speak again, Galvus continued.
"You must be wondering why I brought you here… and you are right to do so.
I will get straight to the point, given how impatient you are. You are afflicted with a curse—the *Balance Breaker Curse*.
You may wonder what that means. Let me explain.
When two souls are born at the same time, their fates are connected by an unseen thread. Now, if a curse is placed upon one of those souls, it transfers all of that soul's talent to the other—ultimately breaking the balance of fate."
Galvus paused briefly before continuing.
"That is what has happened to you. And the only way to correct it… is to kill the other soul."
Maximillian stiffened.
"Then how do I identify and kill that person?" he asked.
"Well, as a well-wisher of yours, I have indeed found a solution," Galvus said.
With that, he placed something into Maximillian's hands.
Maximillian saw that what Galvus actually placed in his hands was an old compass with that he put that in his side pocket .
" Thanks " said Maximillian
" Now tell me boy about this ' new moon ' you mentioned " said Galvus appearing as a kind old man
" Uhh , new moon actually group only met me then and said they said they would contact me naturally in the future and I don't know anything more , sorry grandpa Archperceptor " Maximillian looked at Galvus with innocent look of a child
Both Galvus and Maximillian starred at each other like that and laughed and then Galvus said
" You kid , you will go far in the future "
Before Maximillian could reply , the illusion shattered and Maximillian found himself again in his room
Maximillian then quickly checked his pocket and sure enough he found the compass confirming that all he saw was real
Maximillian at that moment was very happy as he saw hope and decided that he should depart soon
...
Next day , Maximillian work up early or should I say he didn't slept at all
He soon readied himself before his maid even arrived and went to the great dining hall himself first
He arrived there before everone else arrived and sat there in his seat like a well behaved child
Soon all gathered , naturally they were surprised to see prince arriving here before anyone else
Today Maximillian presented himself as the ideal prince , naturally everyone was surprised then Emperor maximus finally said when he just couldn't digest this much change
" What do you want , just say so "
" Well I want to go out father " Maximillian said , his thoughts shifted to how other protagonist were just allowed to go out when they were just kids , surely he too could get permission right
" No , you are not allowed before the age of 12 " said Maximus plainly
" Yes , you are just a kid " chimed his stepmother Venica in too
" BaD broter " even his little sister chimed in
Maximillian morale instantly collapsed and he went back with a ashen face
Just moments ago ,he could already imagine himself killing that talent thief of his from the moment he got this compass
Now he suddenly felt that his Target was going far away from him
