Cherreads

Chapter 117 - Chapter 117 features another comedic character.

The Devil Fruit abilities of the Gorosei indeed look intimidating, each one not seeming like an easy opponent.

Although Garling and Shamrock had not fully recovered, the Gorosei were very confident in themselves and had no intention of waiting for Garling and the others to act together.

St. V. Nusjuro activated his half-beast form, his four hooves treading icy paths on the scorched earth, moving at an astonishing speed.

He raised his hand and slashed, and the sword energy from the First Generation Kitetsu froze Ivankov's skirt into a hard block.

"Face Growth Hormone!"

Ivankov's already enormous face suddenly swelled, deflecting the long-range slash.

Kuma seized the opportunity to flash, his Paw-Paw Fruit palm striking towards St. V. Nusjuro's back.

But the latter reacted extremely quickly, instantly turning and slashing at Kuma, his blade imbued with astonishing cold energy.

Kuma dared not resist head-on and hurriedly slapped himself away, dodging the attack.

The sword energy from the slash froze a large area of charred buildings behind them.

"You think you can hurt me with your speed?"

St. V. Nusjuro moved through the battlefield continuously, while Kuma and Ivankov could only barely hold him back with their Paw-Paw Fruit abilities.

Saturn emitted a strange light, and Dragon felt his movements greatly restricted.

But he still moved like a fluid through the light.

Saturn's immobilization had its limits; it couldn't completely stop even the world's top powerhouses.

Taking advantage of Dragon's restricted movement, he continuously spat venom from his mouth.

A hurricane swept through, blowing the architectural debris on the ground into the air, and the venom collided with the debris, creating a series of explosions.

Immediately after, eight tornadoes attacked Saturn from different angles, their Haoshoku-infused wind blades cutting through the poisonous mist around him, leaving several bloody marks on his body.

His self-healing ability activated, and Saturn recovered instantly.

But in that brief moment, Dragon's figure had already appeared above Saturn, delivering a Dragon Claw Fist from top to bottom, sending Saturn's massive body flying.

Warcury, in his Fengxi form, crushed the gravel on the ground into powder, and Tiger's Sea Current Shoulder Throw could only leave fleeting water marks on the opponent's skin.

"Earth Roar!"

The rock mountain Morley pushed up from the ground was shattered by the wild boar's head, and amidst the flying debris, Tiger suddenly leaped up.

"Fish-Man Karate: Arabesque Brick Fist!"

This strike landed directly on Warcury's head; the latter was unharmed, but the rebounding shockwave caused Tiger's mouth and nose to bleed.

The opponent's defense was simply despair-inducing.

Mars, in his giant bird form, circled in the sky, continuously spewing flames from his mouth.

Wherever the flames swept, Lindbergh's frozen missiles turned into steam in mid-air.

"Soot Prison!"

Crow created a tar barrier, but it was quickly burned through by the flames:

"This won't work! We can hardly inflict effective damage on him!"

"I know! I know!"

Lindbergh dodged the flame attacks while rummaging through his tactical backpack.

When Itsumade dive-bombed and spewed a pillar of fire, Crow and Lindbergh suddenly swapped positions.

Lindbergh's electromagnetic net temporarily paralyzed its right wing, and Crow took the opportunity to stuff soot into the opponent's mouth.

This move wasn't very offensive, but it was extremely insulting.

Just as he was about to dive down and collide with the two, a barrage of liquid nitrogen struck his body.

"Cough, cough... Damn ants!"

Mars was furious, somewhat losing his composure due to these annoying but not very damaging moves from the two.

These Revolutionary Army executives, except for Betty who was captured by Blake, were all quite old.

Asking them to fight the Gorosei, they certainly couldn't win, even two against one.

But if the two cooperated, fighting and retreating, they could still exchange a few blows.

Peter, in his sand worm form, burrowed into the Red Line. Christopher raised his hand and waved, and the earth twisted and deformed, continuously squeezing him.

Peter could only emerge from the ground, but Christopher had already been waiting there.

"Dimensional Slash!"

His long blade slashed continuously, each swing causing space to wrinkle.

Instantly, the sand worm formed by Peter was cut into dozens of segments.

"It's useless!"

Peter was not flustered at all, recovering his body while continuing to say:

"This is the true power of the descendants of God, you traitor cannot defeat us!"

As he spoke, he continued to activate his ability, opening his mouth wide, and the annular mouth suddenly erupted with a gravitational vortex.

Christopher was torn and pulled towards the abyss, but he took the opportunity to thrust forward, his Haoshoku-infused blade piercing the sand worm's upper jaw.

The battle between Dragon and Saturn was relatively relaxed, and he still had the leisure to observe the battlefield.

Seeing this, he hurriedly shouted:

"Morley!"

While dodging Warcury's pursuit, Morley used his Devil Fruit ability to push a large amount of debris together, precisely wedging it into the sand worm's throat.

The huge mouth, capable of devouring everything, instantly turned into a comical bulge.

The massive body continuously rolled, trying to get the stuff out of its mouth.

Blake, in the alternate dimension, slapped his forehead:

"Is Peter here to be funny?"

"He really lowers the Gorosei's standards."

He only made two moves; the first, breaking out of the ground, was directly cut into several pieces by Christopher, and he conveniently set up a flag.

The second move was sealed by being gagged.

This Devil Fruit is really a trap; a worm-like body is simply a swordsman's gospel.

And as long as something huge blocks his mouth, Peter has no combat power.

After watching for a while, Blake had a clearer understanding of the Gorosei's strength.

The strongest among them was undoubtedly Warcury.

This big wild boar was simply a mechanism monster; not only was his defense super strong, but he also had a counter-damage ability.

Before finding the weakness of his mechanism, it would be difficult for even a master of the next tier to deal with him.

Next was St. V. Nusjuro.

His strength was not entirely in his Devil Fruit; he himself had extremely high attainments in swordsmanship.

St. V. Nusjuro truly used his Devil Fruit as an amplifier of his strength, and his ice swordsmanship was very much worth Mandy learning.

Unfortunately, the latter was seriously injured in her battle with Rayleigh and couldn't be brought to observe the battle.

The fire Mars spewed from his mouth seemed even stronger than Kaido's Boro Breath.

Hmm, another Mera Mera no Mi that even dogs wouldn't eat.

Combined with his flying ability and impact force, Mars's strength could rank in the middle among the Gorosei.

The weakest were Saturn and Peter.

Saturn, in his Ushi-Oni form, did achieve some results with his various mechanisms.

Peter's Devil Fruit ability was simply a large-scale Animal-type, Normal-species, Insect-Insect Fruit, Earthworm form.

Judging by the current situation, once Garling and Shamrock join the battlefield, the Revolutionary Army and Christopher will likely be unable to hold on.

Everyone on the battlefield naturally understood this.

Christopher had already witnessed the Gorosei's regeneration ability, so he didn't continue to entangle with Peter, letting the latter roll around there.

He flashed in front of Saturn, preparing to free Dragon, another top-tier combatant, first.

Saturn remained unhurried at this sight, his spider legs suddenly stabbing at both of them simultaneously.

Sword energy and wind blades converged in the air, and the Haoshoku-infused attack split Saturn's body in two.

"This is..."

Dragon and Christopher simultaneously stared at Saturn's severed body, deep in thought.

Blake, in the alternate dimension, also sat up straight:

"So that's how it is..."
