Claudia POV

I let out an audible sigh as I was staring at Ray for a long time. He seemed to have fallen into a much-needed deep sleep. After all, he had been watching over me in the hospital since last night.
Perhaps the lack of sleep had truly gotten into his brain, so he started acting strange, such as now. He was fast asleep and his body was fully relaxed.
But whenever I tried pulling my right hand, his body tensed immediately and he'd hold my hand even tighter.
Thus, I was permanently trapped sleeping right next to him.
I was so nervous that it made me realize how dry our relationship was back then. We barely held hands, we had only kissed—no, it was more like a peck—once, and sleeping together was out of the picture.
Ray always told me that he hated sharing his bed with anyone. He said he hated anyone's natural scent rubbing on him or his sheets, he was even pickier when it came to perfume.
