When they arrived at the Sterling family home, everyone saw the gauze on Aria Sterling's hand and assumed she had been hurt by Landon Hawthorne.
Aria Sterling looked to Caden Sterling for help.
Caden quickly explained on her behalf, "Grandpa, Dad, Mom, you've misunderstood. This has nothing to do with Landon Hawthorne."
"Landon Hawthorne has always been rumored to be unstable. If it wasn't him, who else could it be?" Mason Sterling insisted, his thinking the same as Caden's had been earlier.
His wife, Wendy Chase, also took Aria's hand and said gently, "Aria, if Landon Hawthorne bullied you, just tell us. You're a daughter of the Sterling family now. You're not someone just anyone can push around. We'll stand up for you!"
"Aunt Wendy, it really has nothing to do with Landon Hawthorne. While the old Hawthorne estate was being demolished, I just accidentally took a fall and scraped my hand," Aria said, sticking to the same story.
