Aria Sterling and Landon Hawthorne left together after breakfast, but they headed in different directions.
Aria was going to see Professor Swift. Over the past few days, the professor had sent her several emails explaining they had hit a few bottlenecks in the research on Landon Hawthorne's genetic makeup, and he hoped Aria could come take a look.
Landon, of course, was heading to his company, come rain or shine.
As they were parting ways, Landon called out to Aria from his car. "Let's have lunch together."
"Aren't you eating at the office?" Aria asked.
The Hawthorne family was the wealthiest in the country, and Landon was the CEO of the richest corporation. His schedule was always packed. She'd heard that after their last trip out to sea, he'd had to work overtime for several days just to catch up on his accumulated work. It was lucky that two of those days fell on a weekend; otherwise, who knows how long he would have been stuck at the office.
