"Let go," Alaric Davenport's voice rang out, cold and sharp. Aurora Ainsworth's hand trembled, and she immediately straightened her back.
"My idol, I... I'm sorry..." Aurora Ainsworth stood up. "But, my idol... it looks like you're a little late."
"Who said I'm late?" Alaric Davenport said, lowering his gaze to take Rosalind Lowell's hand.
"The gossip session is already over."
Alaric Davenport raised an eyebrow. "I don't have time for gossip. I'm here to discuss a partnership."
"A partnership?"
Ethan Lockwood emerged from behind him. "This is the time you scheduled, isn't it?"
"Huh?" Rosalind Lowell and Aurora Ainsworth both gasped in surprise.
Elsa Ainsworth and the other two, who had been about to leave, were also completely bewildered.
