The next morning, Rosalind Lowell followed Yasmine Kimball, who was pushing Dexter Davenport in his wheelchair for a walk through the garden of the family estate.
A few other people trailed behind them.
Rosalind Lowell watched as Dexter Davenport's coughing grew more severe. After struggling to catch his breath, he finally managed to say, "Why can't I take the nighttime medicine during the day? That one makes me feel a bit more comfortable."
Yasmine Kimball immediately handed him a bowl of medicine. "Whatever the doctor says, goes. We should just listen to him, all right?"
Rosalind Lowell frowned, looking at the herbal decoction with some confusion. "Father, what medicine is this?"
"It's all just some herbal remedies," Yasmine Kimball explained as she began feeding the medicine to Dexter Davenport. "Taking these herbs is much better than those pills. This treats the root of the problem."
