"Sherry, if I had some tape right now, I'd seriously consider sealing your mouth shut."
Sherry laughed even harder, pinching Rosalind's beet-red face. "You're so cute when you're shy. No wonder Mr. Davenport is so fond of you."
Rosalind decided to give up the struggle.
"Alright, I'll stop teasing you. You're a legally married couple. Isn't getting pregnant the most normal thing in the world?"
"No, it's just..." Rosalind bit her lip. She and Alaric Davenport shared a secret that couldn't be spoken.
"Why don't you go to the hospital and get it checked?"
Rosalind clutched her dress. She was scared; that's why she didn't dare to go.
She suddenly recalled the time she had merely mentioned the subject of children to Alaric Davenport, and he had gotten angry.
'How could I dare?'
"Avoiding the problem won't solve it. If it's really happened, you can't run from it."
Rosalind sighed. Sherry was right. She took a deep breath. "I'll go to the pharmacy later. I'll use the test tonight."
