Just then, a servant came over with some handheld fireworks. "Mr. Davenport, they're all ready."
Alaric Davenport patted her. "Go on, go play with the fireworks."
"Davenport, can I play too?"
"Mm."
Shannon Hale excitedly ran to Rosalind Lowell's side to play with her, completely forgetting she was her rival.
Jessica Sutton squinted at them in the distance. "Alaric, I want to play too."
With that, she started walking over in her high heels.
"Is she going to be okay? Wearing high heels to a farmhouse resort," Keith Thorne commented as he watched Jessica Sutton's retreating figure.
At the sight of this, Skylar Morrison stood up and glanced at Alaric Davenport. "Let's go play together. I've lived this long and have hardly ever touched these things."
Alaric Davenport nodded and stood up as well.
They lit their fireworks by the shore of the lake.
Rosalind Lowell held a sparkler, and the little stars it sputtered out were especially beautiful.
