"If you don't believe me, kiss me and see for yourself." His tone was lazy and unhurried, casual yet condescending. "See if it works as an antidote."
Lianne turned her head to look at him, her crystal-clear eyes reflecting the man's flawless face. She froze for a moment, not watching where she was going. Her left foot caught on the carpet, and she lost her balance, about to fall.
