Inside the dark room, it was dead silent. The living and the dead were clearly divided.
Bai Xiaoxiao and her group were too hungry and thirsty to even speak. This was when the perks of being a ghost became apparent—not eating or drinking didn't matter. The living didn't have the energy to talk, but the ghosts were a different story.
"Sigh, I thought you made it out alive... When the fire broke out, I was even happy for you..."
There were three ghosts in the dark room: one was Ying Lin, and the other two were ghost employees of the Yu'an Academy haunted house, one male and one female. Judging by their voices, the two ghosts couldn't be very old. The one who had just spoken was the male ghost.
"...I didn't expect you to be dead too. Your post-mortem appearance is surprisingly clean; I can't even tell how you died... How did you die?"
