"Thank you for your consideration, Master." Lan Xin breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that Ning Xuan had already refused.
Lan Xin had to admit that while he loved the thrill of the battlefield, he much preferred to stay by Ning Xuan's side.
"Let's go to the treatment room," Ning Xuan said to Lan Xin. "Your internal injuries still need to be addressed."
"As you command, Master." Lan Xin knew the way to the treatment room well. Following Ning Xuan's orders, he headed there and saw Chen Nan was already inside.
Chen Nan, however, was in a terrible state. He was lying face down on a treatment bed against the wall, his back and buttocks covered in blood.
When Chen Nan saw Lan Xin enter, he glanced up before lying prone again.
"Ah Nan, were you punished?" Lan Xin's heart skipped a beat as he stared at Chen Nan's bloody back.
Just as Chen Nan was about to answer, the door clicked softly, and Ning Xuan pushed it open to enter.
