"This should be the entrance, right?" Ivy Holden stared at the mouth of the alley as if it were a monster.
"Let's go." Jensen Morrison warily scanned the surroundings, pulled Ivy Holden by the hand, and went into the alley.
However, once they were inside, they discovered three forks in the alley.
"Which way?" Ivy Holden said, pointing to an opening on her right.
Jensen Morrison carefully examined their surroundings. The mottled walls were plastered with small advertisements, and heaps of garbage bags piled in the corners gave off a foul stench.
This was precisely the kind of place where shady characters of every stripe congregated. Human traffickers always operated in gangs, and behind any one of these windows, there was no telling how many lookouts were hiding. He suspected they had already walked into an ambush.
"This way," Jensen Morrison said, pointing to the middle alley.
"Should we split up?" Ivy Holden whispered.
"No."
