The car pulled out of the police station's parking lot and onto the deserted street.
Bill Holden knew no one was sleepy, so he glanced at his watch and said, "It's one-thirty in the morning. Should we get a late-night snack before we head back?"
"Let's go. Find a place for a drink," Ivy Holden said, typing a reply to Bobby Yates on her phone.
Bill Holden thought for a moment. "How about we just go back to The Wells Hotel?"
"Okay. At least we can pull the surveillance footage there anytime," Ivy Holden said. After she finished typing and sent the message, she let out a breath. "There's definitely someone backing Leon Summers. They won't give up."
"Of course. The Jade Pavilion was Leon Summers's entire livelihood; it would be strange if she didn't stir up some trouble. I don't think it will be hard to find who's behind this. Now that she's been taken in, that person will definitely try to pull some strings to get her out."
