"Little Pepper, having a nightmare?" Jensen Morrison gently rubbed the top of her head. "It's okay, it's okay..."
Ivy Holden cried in Jensen Morrison's arms for a good while before she finally calmed down. Once she did, she shoved him away and demanded, "What are you doing in my house?"
Jensen Morrison sighed helplessly. 'Use me and then toss me aside... Is that really okay?'
"How did you let yourself in again?" Ivy Holden demanded again.
Seeing her red eyes, Jensen Morrison couldn't bring himself to be harsh with her. He simply said, "It's already eight-thirty. I knocked for ages, but there was no answer. We have a lot to do today, have you forgotten?"
"Oh, right." Ivy Holden nodded, still looking listless.
"Why don't you sleep a little longer? I'll go downstairs and bring breakfast up for you."
"No need. Get out, I'm getting up." Ivy Holden threw the dog-shaped pillow from her bedside at Jensen Morrison.
