The next day, morning sunlight streamed into the room and fell upon Isaac, who had been hunched over his desk all night, revising the plan. He slowly set down his pen, a satisfied smile appearing on his face as he gazed at the partially modified Magic Book.
Just as he had suspected, although this ritual was the work of the renowned Great Arcanist Mensa, it was far from perfect in Isaac's eyes.
Aside from a mismatch in specialization, two other factors left the ritual with significant room for improvement. First, it had to account for the skill level of the previous officiant, Philo, so many parts lacked refinement. Second, the trading partner was different.
Great Arcanist Mensa had chosen the God of Nobility and Etiquette as his trading partner.
That's right, the God of Nobility and Etiquette. Although his name sounded quite righteous, he was, in fact, an out-and-out Evil God!
