'Did I... get exposed?'
A flicker of unease crossed Desari's mind, but he immediately shook his head.
'Impossible. My identity is hidden too deeply. Even Bloodhand Johnny doesn't know "SK's" real identity. There's no way I've been exposed.'
But this matter had to be reported to his superiors, no matter what.
A moment later, he picked up a quill, dipped it in ink, and began to write on a special sheet of parchment.
In the letter, he reported in detail the entire course of the Battle of Grey Stone Pass, as well as the astonishing intelligence-gathering capabilities and military talent Lynch had once again displayed.
After he finished writing, Desari checked it over carefully. Once he confirmed there were no mistakes, he signed his name at the end of the letter—
"S.K."
With a flick of his hand, the parchment ignited without a flame, turning into a wisp of smoke that vanished into the air.
