The [Basic Nether River Visualization Skill] was a superior replacement for the [Basic Meditation Skill]. So, after it replaced the [Basic Meditation Skill], the skill panel transferred the experience from his original peak LV4 [Basic Meditation Skill] to the new [Basic Nether River Visualization Skill]. However... the skill level had dropped by nearly two full levels, from peak LV4 to early LV3.
However, this "downgrade" was far from a bad thing; in fact, it was a massive boon!
