Stinking blood showered down, spattering her surcoat—already soaked through with gore—but she paid it no mind, only gasping for breath.
It was then that she noticed something strange on the battlefield.
The goblin tide that had been endlessly surging forward like rabid dogs suddenly faltered.
For some reason, the momentum of the green-skins' charge became chaotic and disorganized. Many goblins even stopped in their tracks, looking back in confusion and alarm.
Even more concerning, the ear-splitting, banshee-like shriek had suddenly vanished.
Even the Goblin Airship overhead was inexplicably running into trouble.
The next volley failed to fire on schedule. The cannons' muzzles grew sluggish, and the hull shuddered and listed, as if there had been an accident in the cockpit.
