The Ghost's forward pounce came to a halt. It shot toward the basement ceiling like a bolt of lightning, bypassing the Corpse Demon and Blood Fang in the blink of an eye. Like a cloud of luminous mist, it lunged ferociously at Lynch once more.
A shrill, soul-shaking screech instantly echoed throughout the entire underground chamber.
Ghosts were a rather special type of being within the Undead System. The conditions for a Ghost to form naturally were incredibly strict, and most beings who became Ghosts had been quite powerful in life. As a result, Ghosts often started at Tier Three.
Moreover, they had a strong immunity to physical attacks, making them a natural counter to most purely physical classes. However, their resistance to spiritual attacks and energy attacks like fire and lightning was relatively weak, so they were easily countered by classes from the Mage Series and the Holy Light System.
