A speck of Holy Light, as brilliant as a star, shot from her fingertip. It swiftly coalesced on Avril's right index finger, forming a silver-white ring that flowed with a sacred radiance.
"Thank you, honored Guardian." Avril quickly bowed.
The angelic projection gave a slight nod. Without another word, it dissolved into countless motes of light and vanished into the night sky.
From start to finish, the arrogant Guardian Angel had addressed only Avril, treating Lynch and Amadis as if they were thin air.
"Whew... She's finally gone."
Amadis let out a long sigh of relief and patted her ample chest, her face still showing traces of lingering fear.
As a Necromancer, being face-to-face with an angelic projection was incredibly stressful.
