Leech had Guy return to his quarters, lie down, and close his eyes, just as a normal person would.
The roundtable meeting had given him a general understanding of how it operated.
Unlike the almost playful nature of the Black Market, the roundtable consisted entirely of Transcendents, and the items they offered were far more valuable.
At the very least, he hadn't lost out by acquiring the dragon ore gemstone. The fruit that increased Life Force, on the other hand, was useless to him. He could tell from Black Ball's casual attitude that while the fruit had its uses, they were limited.
A mouse scurried out of a hole, its head swiveling from side to side as it sniffed the ground.
SQUEAK SQUEAK. The mouse's gaze eventually settled on Guy's quarters. It then turned and scurried back into its hole, its presence going unnoticed.
Leech withdrew his consciousness and let Guy rest.
